Supplies Jasc's Paint Shop Pro. Tube of choice. I used one of Amberly Berendson's delightful images. Be sure to visit Amberly's beautiful online gallery. Supplies to download: Italian Flag template, green check fill, table with umbrella, leaning tower of Pisa, champaigne and pizza.
SETTING USED IN THIS TUTORIAL Drop Shadow Settings: Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80, Blur 5, Color #c0c0c0 (light gray) Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80, Blur 5, Color Black
Step 1 Open up the Italian flag template. Step 2 Open up the Leaning Tower of Pisa graphic and go to Edit/Copy. Make the tag template active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. If you want a smaller tower, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all Layers NOT checked. Left click the mover tool and place the image where you would like it on your tag. Step 3 Open your tube graphic. Follow Step 2 in pasting your graphic as a new layer and resizing if necessary. Step 4 Open up your table with umbrella and again follow Step 2 in pasting your graphic as a new layer and resizing if necessary. Step 5 Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the drop shadow with color #c0c0c0 (light gray). Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (Flatten). Step 6 Go to Image/Add Border. For color, select any color NOT in your graphic, symmetric and border width 10. Left click the magic wand and left click on your border to select it. Step 7 Open up the green tag check fill. Left click the bottom color box and when the color selection window opens, click the pattern tab, locate this fill with angle at 0 and scale at 100. Step 8 Left click the flood fill tool and right click it on the border to fill the border with this pattern. Do not deselect. Step 9 Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the drop shadow settings with the color black. Go to Selections/Select None. Step 10 Open up the champagne and pizza tubes. Follow Step 2 in pasting these graphics on the table and resizing if necessary. Step 11 Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Step 12 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and in the top color box, select the color black and in the bottom color box, you should have your green checkered fill. Left click the text tool and at the text ribbon, select your font at about size 48 with a stroke of 2. Type in your text and apply the same drop shadow as you did in Step 9. If you want more dramatic text, you can apply this drop shadow once more. Step 13 Add your copyright information and go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Step 14 Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 90% or smaller, bicubic and resize all layers checked. Save your tag as a jpg. We hope you enjoyed this tutorial and got a taste of Italy, too!
