Accessories - Bridge Graphic and Daisies Graphic from Microsoft Clipart Media, a great place for graphics.

Please remember, when creating your signature tags, to only use permission art and to apply the copyright information on the tag.  If  you have purchased a commercial image, do add your license number as well.

**When creating your Signature tags with Paint Shop Pro, do remember to save continually.  Nothing worse than to use up your memory resources and lose everything!**

Creating the Tag

Step 1

Open a new transparent image 900 width by 850 height and open up the daisyring psp graphic.

Step 2

Make the daisyring graphic active and go to Edit/Copy.  Make the transparent image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer.

Step 3

Go to Effects/Plugins/Mura's Meister/Copies and select encircle with the default settings.

Step 4

Open up the bridge graphic and go to Edit/Copy.  Make the daisy circle image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer.

Go to Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom.

Step 5

Open up the layer palette and go to the Layer that has the daisy ring (the top Layer) and left click the raster deform tool.

You will see after applying this tool, the daisy ring  is surrounded by nodes on the top, bottom left and right.  What you will do is left click your mouse button on one of the nodes on one of the sides of the image.   Holding down that left mouse button,  pull the side outward.  Do that to the other side, as well.  Now left click the mouse button on the top and bottom nodes and also pull them outward.  Continue doing this so that the daisy ring covers the entire outside area of the bridge graphic.

Step 6

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the settings from above.

Step 7

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.

Step 8

Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 60%, Bicubic and Resize all Layers checked.

Step 9

Go to Image/Canvas Size and for width use 600 and for height 550. This should give you enough room for  the circular text and copyright information.

Step 10

Make your tube graphic active and go to Edit/Copy.  Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer.  If your image is too large, go to Image/Resize, using the percent option, bicubic and resize all Layers Not checked.

Step 11

Add your copyright information but leave room for the circular text on the top and bottom.

Adding Circular Text

Step 1

At your Material Palette, make the top color box black and the bottom color box null (No color).

Step 2

Left click your preset shape tool and locate the ellipse shape. Make sure you have Create on Vector checked.

Step 3

Now draw a large ellipse around the entire outside border of your tag by holding down your left mouse button, and starting your circle at the top left, and moving right and down, to complete the circle.

It is very important that you use this direction. otherwise when applying your text, it will not be the same as what is shown here.

Step 4

Go to Layer/New Raster Layer

Left click your font tool and set your font ribbon to floating and whatever font and size you wish.

Step 5

Left click your text tool and bring it to the area somewhat close to the top center node of your ellipse. When you see a curved line appear under the text tool, (it looks like a smile under the A), left click and your text entry screen will appear. Type in your text and click apply. If your text is off center, left click the undo key at the top of the Paint Shop Pro desktop and reapply at a different location. It may take a few tries to find the exact spot where your text is centered.

Step 6

Apply the same drop shadow as you did before.  Go to Selections/Select None.

Step 7

Open up your layer palette and convert the layer that has your text (it is now a vector layer) to a raster layer.

Step 8

Still at your layer palette, locate the Vector Layer that has your ellipse. Make sure the Vector layer is highlighted.  Go to Image/Flip. Left click the mover tool, and move the ellipse back into place on your tag.

We will now add the text to the bottom of the ellipse.

Step 9

Left click your font tool and bring it to the area by the bottom center node of your ellipse. When you see a curved line appear under the text tool (it looks like a smile under the A), left click, and your text entry screen will appear. Type in your text and click apply. If your text is off center, left click the undo key at the top of the desktop and reapply. It may take a few tries to find the exact spot where your text is centered.

Step 10

Repeat Steps 6 and 7.

Step 11

Open up the layer palette and go to your Vector Layer. Right click the Vector Layer and go to where it says ellipse. Left click on the eye to close off the ellipse layer.

Finishing the Tag

Step 1

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).

Step 2

If you want to resize your graphic smaller, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers checked.

Step 3

If you want a little added decoration, resize the daisy circle psp file and add to your tag. Save your tag as a jpg.

We hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
