Supplies

Jasc's Paint Shop Pro  - any version.

Tube of Choice.   The tube image I am using is by Alan Stevens. 

Filters Needed: 

Flaming Pear - Flood Filter - a commercial Filter and Xenofex 1.1 Filters.  The filter for the edges is called distress.  If you do not have Xenofex 1.1 you can substitute another commercial filter such as Xenofex 2, burnt edges or Filters Unlimited 2, square edges.  If you have neither of these commercial filters, you can add a border instead. 

Mura Meister's Cloud Filter which can be downloaded here.

SETTING USED IN THIS TUTORIAL

Drop Shadow Setting:

Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80, Blur 5, Color Black

Step 1

Open up a transparent image 600 width by 400 height and flood fill this image with color #3d7ced.

Step 2

Left click the selection tool set to rectangle and draw a selection on your tag like this:

Step 3

Go to Effects/Plugins/Flaming Pear Flood and apply the default settings. Go to Selections/Select/Select None.

Step 4

Left click the selection tool and draw a rectangular selection around the blue area below the water.  Flood fill that selection with color #f6ec80 and go to Selections/Select None.  This will be your sand.

Step 5

Left click the selection tool and draw a rectangular selection around the blue area above the water.  Go to Effects/Plugins/Mura's Meister/Cloud and select the thin cloud preset at the default settings.  Go to Selections/Select None. This is your sky.

Step 6

Left click the crop tool and slightly crop the edges around the tag in case when you applied the selections, the colors are not evenly distributed on the side areas of the tag.

Step 7

Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 95%, Bicubic and Resize all Layers NOT checked.

Step 8

Go to Effects/Plugins/Xenofex 1.1/Distress and use these settings:

Edge Type Rough with Edge Width 20 and Irregularity 50.

Step 9

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the settings from above or your own settings.

Remember:  If you do not have the Xenofex 1.1 Distress filter, you can substitute the edge effect for the tag with either a border from Paint Shop Pro or the use of Xenofex 2 burnt edges or Filter Unlimited 2 Square edges.

Step 10

Open up your Palm Tree and make it active.  Go to Edit/Copy.  Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. 

Step 11

Repeat Step 9 applying a drop shadow.

Step 12

Open up your graphic image and make it active.  Go to Edit/Copy.  Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer.  If the image is too large, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked.

Step 13

Repeat Step 9 applying a drop shadow.

Step 14

Go to Layer/New Raster Layer and apply your copyright.

Step 15

Go to Layer/New Raster Layer.

For text - in the top color box at the material palette, select the color black.  In the bottom color box, select a blue gradient that will give a nice water effect.

Type in your text and again apply the same drop shadow as you did in Step 9.

Step 16

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.

Step 17

Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 90%, bicubic and resize all layers checked.

Save this file as a psp or psd file.  We will finish the tag in animation shop.
