SONGS By Phil Wyatt
Here are some of my Lyrics.  I am an aspiring songwriter.  You can catch me playing at the folk clubs in Cambridge, England.

I am currently working on my first album in a studio in Cambridge.  I will be adding updates to the progress of this as it happens.

Below are some of the songs I will be recording over the coming weeks.

MY FRIEND

Those days long ago,
when we were younger.
You were my friend,
and life was full of wonder.
We travelled so far,
around our neighbourhood.
Sharing our dreams,
life never felt so good.
Hey, my friend,
what happened to it all?

One day you told me,
there's something ill in you.
The tears I cried,
my life was torn in two.
I couldn't look you,
right in the eyes.
The days of fun grew few,
and I never realised.
Hey, my friend,
why did you go away?

I remember what you said,
I'll never let you down.
So clear in my head,
the sights, the smells, the sounds.
All the things that we went through,
the sun, the sky, the moon,
they were meant for you,
they were there for you.

We'd leave our homes,
meet up around the corner.
Climb up the hill,
and talk until,
the sun came down,
no one around.
Hey, my friend,
I still love you so.

LEGEND

I went out looking for a cause,
but all I found was another bunch of reasons.

Took a road out, searching for applause,
the wind grew cold; I lost track of the seasons.

Headed out to Hornsby, a place I'd never been.
Watched a sunset colouring the skies.

I looked down to a sea of people I'd never seen,
and I found myself lost inside your eyes.
SILENT CRY

A world full of people,
like a forest full of trees.
You can cut them all down,
because there's none here for me.

A heart so used to sorrow,
like a river that's run dry.
You can break the dams down,
I know that I won't cry.

Who ever heard of a silent cry
When my feelings are bursting inside
