"Great scott! Http://www.n3.vgr2k.com/"
Our new site!
Our new site is up! Well it has been for about 20 days but everyone forgot about posting a link here. We've got around 25,000+ hits already in just September! Our new site focuses on N64, GCN, and GBA. Prepare to be amazed!
Can it be true?
Oh yes, it is true! Nintendopes is planing on restyling, changing the name and maybe even moving servers! Yes, I know we announced our death back in early July, but we shall rise again. Although this is all just talk as of now, you can probably expect Nintendopes to be back and running again, but it won't be for awhile so don't hold your breath.
Been a Long time
Well good news and bad news. Nintendopes has kind of hit a wall. The staff are lazy. Although we knew this all along it took a while to finally bore the crap out of them. Thats the bad news. The good news is, Mike has started up a new website. So click the above link to be taken to his styley new site. Geoffs site I think has opened so he may post the link here soon. Nintendopes will stay up until forever or 'til geocities closes - which ever comes first. Thanks for coming to Nintendopes all these years, hoped you enjoyed yourself!
E3 Day 1 coverage up
Slowly our E3 coverage is being put up. All of day 1 is up. Once again sorry for the delay - Geocities sux.
GBA coming soon
25 days to go if your waiting for yours in New Zealand and less than two weeks if your in America. If your in Japan your a lucky guy.
A message to the Nintendork Lovers
I have been recieving many Mail Bag submissions such as this one lately : "Even though Nintendorks hasn't had a design like
this for months, I feel I can't just sit here and watch this
site exist...I am personally insulted that you try to feed us
this garbage and pass it off as your own site. It disgusts me
how you ripped off everything from the layout to the logo to the
features of the old Nintendorks. I hate you, and all you stand
for. Your site should have no right to exist. I know you
probably love nintendorks as I do, but this site is just plain
gay." Now your all entitled to your opinion but why dont you guys just get a life. Geoff has already asked Lakitu of Nintendorks about the site layout and he said that the layout was fine. We are just a fan site and we loved the old Nintendorks layout so much that we re-did ourseleves. All our content is ours and where it isn't we have credited it to the appropriate sources. Get off our backs, we are just Nintendo and Nintendork fans like you all.
As pissed off as Conker
I (Mike) have done a lot of coverage on E3. Unfortunately because of problems with Geocities I have been unable to get into the Nintendopes account. I am finally in again and have begun to publish into our E3 coverage section. I'm sorry its so late but it was beyond my control. Hope you still have a read.
E3 was so good this year, espeicially for Nintendo. They reaffirmed themselves as a top player in the console wars and have put out some great games to show. Lets hope all goes well and everything runs on time.
So Sorry.. The TWINE Q+A section will be up as soon as I get some time. Maybe in a couple of weeks(?) We are still accepting questions so dont be afraid to ask!
A bit more bad news
I, Geoff Shobert, have a awful awful virus on my computer. This means (for anyone waiting) the radio is pushed back even farther. Also, my side of Mikes sudden change to go doing stuff at the official Nintendo New Zealand Website won't have me involved for awhile. I, and a few friends are working on a site. It's due out the 27th, it'll most likely be linked on here.
Some good news and some bad news As Head Dope I find that a lot of the sites work rests on my shoulders, and therefore when I don't work the site pretty much dies. I haven't been working on the site lately as I have been preparing another Nintendo site. In fact I have been generating ideas and concepts for the official Nintendo New Zealand Website and may hopefully have the job of designing and writing for that website. So what does that mean for Nintendopes? It means it won't be updated as much. Although I will return from time to time to write editorials and the odd special I won't have time to work on the site. This responsibility will now fall into the capable (?) hands of Geoff, Angely, Dennis, Bob and Matt. This is not farewell, I will be back (don't think you'll get rid of me that easy).
Go to Toys 'R' Us Because they have Game Boy Advance demo units! If you are in America get to your local Toys 'R' Us now! Apparently they have a 'cut-down' version of the game for view of the public. I also think you may be able to play it although I'm not exactly sure. Too bad I (and most of the staff) live in New Zealand!
Mail Bag! Click to be taken away to our latest Mail Bag. Note: Its not our fault if you don't ever come back!
And in the Archives... After looking through the 'specials' folder in our geocities page cache I found we had a GBA Special which wasn't linked. It is a rather short special on the facts on Game Boy Advance. Check it out. Please Note it was written about a month ago.
The Message Board Its still there you know, mostly staff posts from like 6 months ago. Yes it is pretty dead, yes there is nothing exciting happening but do feel free to use it, spam it, bomb it or do what ever you want to it!
Nintendopes Finally gets Clued Cubed up After months of broken promises and shattered dreams Nintendopes has finnaly pulled itself together and put up a small, yet highly detailed Gamecube overview. There are plenty of pictures and fancy graphics etc. We have tried to just lay down the facts at this stage and there is no analysis on how well it will do. So here it is, come and get it.
Dont forget your Questions on TWINE.. You only go till Friday to ask 008 about his vast skills and experience on this great game!
Denz wrote an editorial!? Yep, I have written an editorial(duh), so go check it out and enjoy. Its all concerning the Gaming Industry being sued (wrongly) for those school killings...
Too Good We have the full list of TWINE codes finally. After months of gameplay Mike finally got all of them and we can tell that we are 80% sure we are the only site to have the complete list. Some come on in and get the codes you want so bad!
008's The World is Not Enough Question and Answer Session The World is Not Enough (TWINE) has quickly become one of my favourite games on the Nintendo 64 - it is a great forst person shooter right up there with Goldeneye, Quake 2 and The Turok series. So I decided to open up a Q & A session dedicated to TWINE as I think it is far too underated by N64 Gamers. As well as answering questions about the game I will also answer any questions to do with getting through levels and unlocking cheats. Of course they will be quality answers as I have finished the game in 00 Agent and unlocked all but 1 cheat. So send in your questions and thoughts about the game. The bag will close in exactly a week from now (Friday 4th May).
New Affiliate! What ANOTHER one? Yes but this ones good too, trust me! A fresh functional and very good looking (even in bright pink - remember the GBA is coming out in pink..) and also has very informative news amoung other things.
$5 billion dollars *does Dr Evil's pinky finger to lip* Thats how much the Colombine massacares victims relations are sueing the gaming industry for. Nintendo, Sega, Sony, ID Software and GT Interactive Software corps have all had the finger pointed at them and it seems kind of bizzare that the finger is only pointed at the gaming industry rather than both the movie and music industry also. And besides what the hell did Mario ever do that was cruel to ANYONE except Bowser?
Crash and Spyro are coming to GCN! Universal Interactive President Jim Wilson confirmed that versions of Crash and Spyro, which had previously been published only for Sony's PlayStation, would be made for the other new generation consoles, Microsoft's Xbox and Nintendo's GameCube and Game Boy Advance. Wilson said the studio would consider making personal computer games. So what does this mean? Well basically Sony loses the only two franchises that it identified with and loses their two main mascots as a result. Crash sold more than 22 million units worldwide, and Spyro sold more than 7 million units since 1998.
Wanna beat that smelly hippy in Conker? Well check out our newly-updated N64 codes page for codes for Conker's Bad Fur Day ...
SEGA on side
Sega have announced that they will be releasing 5 GCN games with the launch of the new Gamecube console. These are Crazy Taxi, All Star Baseball 2002, NFL Quarterback Club 2002, Extreme G 3 and Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2. Nintendo's president, Hiroshi Yamauchi, basically said that SEGA was going to aggresively support Nintendo in both GBA and GCN. When asked about Sega's development plans, Yamauchi-san responded: "Sega really understands what Nintendo is about and where we're headed. We've made progress in our relationship, and Sega plans to aggressively support GameCube and Game Boy Advance with their software. Contrary to rumors earlier this year, Sega is in a position to take care of themselves financially without our help."
