Hi
guys, I have some new items in this
week, mostly race parts.
From
Super tires come Super Wheels SS. These
are precision made aluminum rims with several nicely thought out pluses.
Firstly, these are specifically made to accept Super Tire Slot It tires
in the .808 and .842 heights . These
rims will also accept Ninco 17” wheel inserts for a further custom look.
Priced at $9.99 a set, these set screw rims are a real value.
While
not new from Super Tires, I have had several requests for Yellow Dog tires.
Made with the same precision as their regular line of super tires, these
are a totally different composition and have been touted for their stick and
staying clean longer than regular tires. Some
of the top racers have recommended these to us as being better than the regular
Super Tires. They are the same
price, $6.00 a pair and come in 15 sizes. See
the Super Tire list on my website. The
tires highlighted in yellow come in Yellow Dogs.
(not yet updated)
While
on the subject of tires, I have added a new line of 1/32 silicones to our
offering. They are called MaxxTracks
Tires and combine the toughness of Super Tires with a rounded finished edge.
They also offer sizes that are not available in Super tires or Indy
Grips. They are $4.50 a pair and we
have about 15 sizes in stock. I will
be adding a chart of MaxxTracks to my website within a week.
From
Ninco comes a nice track item. This
is the new N-lifter system which allows you to construct overpasses, hill
climbs, etc with the N-lifter elevation system which is touted to work with any
1/32 track system by being fully adjustable for both height and width.
By adding overhead track, you can reduce the overall
"footprint" of the racing layout, enabling you to have lots of track
in a smaller space. The N-Lifter can be used on straight or curved track
sections and can support over 6' of track. $45.99.
Also a
Ninco reminder. Ninco is sponsoring
the Ninco World Cup Super GT. One of
the regional races leading up to the National Championship will be held here at
NJ Nostalgia Hobby on Sunday September 21st.
Pre registrations will begin the first week in August and pre registrants
will have preference in getting a position in the qualifier.
Day of race entrants will only be allowed if space permits.
This race will be followed by the National race to determine Team
The
three USA National winners become Team USA, and will each receive a trophy, Team
USA shirts, the applicable NINCO World Cup racecar and an assortment of racing
parts, FREE airfare to England for the World Cup Super GT event in Silverstone,
and three FREE nights in a hotel in
England. Entrants must be citizens or permanent residents of the
Those
who preordered the Slot It Alfa Romeo, SICA11A have received their cars by now.
I was able to get just a couple more that are not yet spoken for. If you
want one of these beauties, please contact me ASAP so I can hold one for you.
$54.99
I have
begun stocking the new Professor Motor Electronic Controllers.
I did not order these until the questions of polarity were addressed.
The controller I have chosen to stock is the PRO POSITIVE (for all
commercial and most club applications, home sets would require a NEGATIVE
controller). It is a completely
transistor based controller which included variable brakes, variable sensitivity
(single know adjust), internal head sinks, silicone leads and solid copper
alligator clips with boots. It is
recommended for HO, 1/32 and 1/24 home set cars on tracks with 14-19 volts.
$119.95
Also in
stock is the Slot It SCP-1 controller with more knobs and adjustments than a
1960s stereo amplifier. (you had to
be there) There are knobs for Power trim (anti-spin control), Minimum speed
tuning (coast), Adjustable brake, a thumb activated hand brake and a maximum
speed limiter as well as a 100% brake select.
I have the Analog Version (yes there is a digital version AND I believe
you can buy a interchangeable digital interface cartridge separately).
The controller also has a Telemetry Data Interface data port which will
attach to a telemetry interface box which is/will be available AND can be set to
Ghost Car Motor Test Mode. Whew!!!
And all
this for $119.99. The fine print on
the box says this unit is not compatable with Hornby (Scalextric) off the shelf
analog power bases
Lastly,
for those of you who stop in the store regularly, I have started a 1/32
clearance counter. This is older or
overstock merchandise and will change weekly until I have cleared it out (hence
clearance). All items are marked
down considerably and are final sale. If
you are not able to stop by call from time to time and Brian or I can give you a
quick rundown of the week’s clearance items. A few quick highlights include
several Scalextric A1 Grand Prix cars for $25.00 (regular 39.99)
Well
that’s enough mind boggling 1/32 stuff for this week.
Till next time. Joe
Remember
we are open Sundays through August.
