Hi Guys,

The big news this week is NASCAR!

From SCX:

SCX released three new NASCARS this week.  They are

62670 Chevy Monte Carlo #29 in the Pennzoil livery with Kevin Harvick driving

62680 Dodge Charger #9 in the Dodge Dealers livery with Kasey Kahne driving

62690 Ford Fusion #17 in the Dewalt Livery with Matt Kenseth driving.

While these cars lack the photo etched parts of their Scalextric competitors, they have really come a long way toward nicely detailed cars.  $42.99 each

From Carrera:

27186  1970 Plymouth Superbird in the Petty blue #43, and

27187 1969 Ford Torino Talladega also in ‘The King’s’ favorite blue

$41.99 each

From Monogram/Revell:

First come two limited edition cars in beautiful slip cases with great period photos and box art.  The first is the Jaguar E-type Sebring 1963 car #23, in a limited edition of 3000.  This white and red car put out 325+ horsepower from its 3.8 liter six and took seventh in the Sebring race.  Briggs Cunningham drove the mate to this car to the win.  $53.99

The next limited car is a two man Porsche Spyder that raced at Mille Miglia in 1954.  Driven to victory by the team of Hermann and Linge this race is remembered for one incident that took place shortly after the start of the race.  While traveling at high speed the team saw a level railroad crossing barrier lowering as they came out of a bend, Hermann floored the Porsche and the car cleared the the lowered gate by millimeters.  Only 3500 made, $53.99

Other cars of interest from Revell:

8397– BMW 320 Fruit of the Loom livery driven by Peter Schneeberger in 1977 $49.00

8030 – Simca 1000 Rallye in Tissot livery driven in the 1975 Spa Francorchamps race $49.00

8963- NSU TT Cup 1300 TT driven by Richard Rotzer $49.00

From Bum:

I am not sure of the vintage of this neat little Go Kart.  It is certainly not as sophisticated as the Ninco Go Karts but at $29.99 it looks to be a blast.  Two color combos available.

Till next time!  Joe
