Hi Guys,

A few new items have started to appear on the HO scene.  First from Life Like (yes they are still making cars and I can finally get them again)

For the first time since Walthers (the train people) bought Life Like they are releasing their HO slot cars through another distributor.  They decided when they first bought Life Like, that only they would distribute their slot cars.  This apparently didn’t work out well as their minimum order quantities were huge, based on the assumption that stores would be buying their trains as well.  They finally figured out there are stores that do not sell trains, that do sell slot cars.  The first two releases are nice versions of COTs (Car of Tomorrow).  They are the #48 Lowes and the #11 Fedex, both with the new COT rear wing and correct graphics.  If you are a Life Like or NASCAR collector these are must haves for $21.99 each. If you are a home racer you already know Tomy cars are pushing past the $30 mark and the highly criticized Super 3’s are $24.99, so a car that runs this good should be on your ‘buy’ list.

Dash Motorsports has announced the AFX, Xtraction, Tomy version body of their racing Camaro.  The word from Dash is they should be in the store in 1-2 weeks and will be available in the following color schemes:

Pearl White - no stripes, black stripes, red stripes, blue stripes

Black - no stripes, white stripes, gold stripes, silver stripes

Blue - no stripes, gold stripes, silver stripes, white stripes

Yellow - no stripes, black stripes, white stripees

These are factory test shots on AFX, Tomy Turbo and Super G+ chassis.

This will be the same style body as the thunderjet version but with snap on body mounting.  $10.99 each.  Also announced for later this fall is a Herbie version of the VW Microbus, no specific date was given.

As the fall ECHOR (formerly VHORS) season gets underway please keep us in mind for JW, RTHO, Greg’s Garage, original Aurora and hundreds of other parts which are always in stock.  I have been talking to Hiram Durant about getting his tires in the store and he promised a shipment, once he gets the rims needed to make them, back in stock.

Lastly, I had some wire wheels made up with red and yellow wires like the sports cars of the 60's came with.  I only had a few sets made to see if there is interest.  $7.00 a set.

I hope to see you soon. Joe
