| "What are THESE two doing here?" Are the first words that ALL Dilandau-sama worshippers know as his first lines in the excellent epic known as Escaflowne. Our Dilly-sama (*growls* Dilandau...) has his first appearence in the third episode, where he bites his finger, then slaps two DragonSlayers who had let some "bumpkin samuri" destroy two of his Alseides units. Dilandau-sama makes more headway through the series as it progresses, becoming more and more antsy in his lust for kill and fire. But then, disaster strikes as the capture of the "Dragon" brings Van into the Vione, where Dilandau-sama causes an explosion (I did not!) and Van escapes. But not after altering something precious to our Dilandau-sama... |
| Van, in his escape with Hitomi and the crew of the Crusade, sliced upwards, cutting Dilandau-sama's cheek and a few of his hairs. Dilandau-sama collapsed in horror at the cruel thing Van had done, screaming "My face!". He swears revenge upon the young king, clutching his precious cheek in one hand, in the other his sword. Dilandau-sama's next scene is with the rest of the DragonSlayers, sliding his finger down his cheek, a kind of stinging sensation running through it. He says over and over as the terrified Slayers watch, "Cheek, cheek, cheek...". Gatti warns him not to do this, or he'd scar his face. Dilandau-sama gives thanks to Gatti for his kindness (Hey, a punch is as good as a thanks!)as Chesta walks in with a message about Folken-sama. Dilandau-sama immediately goes into Pallas, in search of Van and to get his revenge. Van, Hitomi, and Merle escape though, leaving Dilandau-sama to fight Allen. But we are not left with this displeasure. There is more... |

| The next time Dilandau-sama shows his pretty face is when he's torturing Folken-sama (*screech, screech* Ugh. He's been doing this for HOURS. When will it end? ) by scratching a wine bottle with a dagger. Our Dilandau-sama shows his true colors as he looks wildly around, complaining about how he hates to be forced to wait. Dilandau-sama's lust to kill Van hasn't faded, as he demonstrates with a manly growl and clentch of the fist. This progresses even better, his eyes and pupils turning into slits as the scar seems to be the source of his insanity. Unfortunately, his uniqueness and quality with the flame lasts no more as the DragonSlayers are slaughtered before his eyes. Dilandau-sama spirals downward in a sorrowful twister, eventually falling down and crying (I did NOT cry!). He is taken in by the sorcerers, to be experimented on more, and the reign of Dilandau-sama ends, with sorrow, horror, and unspeakable pain. |

| Sorry guys, I would continue, but Dilandau-sama really dies for me after this point. All of you who have seen the ending, you know what I mean. If anyone hasn't seen the ending, then I pity you.
