Dennis' 1979 Monte Carlo
This vehicle came with the 125-horsepower 267-cubic-inch V-8. The entire car was "pea green" inside and out before restoration began. The cars motor and transmission has been replaced with a 350cubic-inch (4 bolt main) V-8 surpassing the strength of any of the original motor options; a 350 turbo transmission and is now equipped with duel exhaust. The remainder of the exterior is all original. The body has under 80,000 miles and the interior has been pulled out and updated, it has even been given the much needed necessity of any muscle car lover.... FUZZY DICE! She has been family owned since her creation in 79' where she was purchased by my grand father, Floyd. He owned it until he passed away at which point it was given to my Uncle Karvel. He owned it until his early death at which point my brother in law took it over (don't worry.. the people stopped dying now lol ). Thought his intentions were to try to restore the vehicle, he was never able to spend any money on it and it sat for 3 years, alone. I finally gained the opportunity to purchase it and did so with a smile about a year ago. The trans was froze up and the motor was knocking, but she was beautiful and needed some love. I thought restoring it would honor the family members who loved her once before me, so that is my task. Restoration has pauses at the current time but I hope to have her back in shape by next year.
