Nancy Lynn- Personally
It takes a while to really get to know me.  I say that from experience- I'm still trying to understand myself.  Among my friends, I'm more relaxed and outspoken.  It takes time to trust others- those in my life will attest to that.

There are those who would call me a snob- I am nothing of the sort.  I love meeting new people- the only ones I don't get along with are those who degrade others for their own selfish ends- nothing enrages me more.

I know I'm in a minority- not many people in my generation lean toward the classical arts.  I can appreciate modern 'pop' music, but my heart is in what I grew up singing and playing.

As for my personality- well, let's just say I'm an unique individual.

Okay, you've seen my homepage, you've probably looked at a few other pages, maybe read a story or a poem.  Perhaps you've browsed around for a while; perhaps you've just come across my little online home.  But you've wondered; who is this woman?  What makes her tick?  What is beyond the webpage?  Let me tell you- not much.
No, really- at heart I'm a sensitive, deeply emotional being.  We all are; it's called being human.  What I believe makes me unique is one phrase- love survives.
My Background
I am of Irish, English and German ancestry, born in Michigan but raised in Connecticut.  An only child, I was brought up in a traditional Lutheran church.  Music was an integral part of that upbringing- I was exposed early to the classics thanks in part to a wonderful music director and the grace of God.  It is thanks to those influences and those around me that I am alive today.

I was lucky- the influences I lacked at home growing up I had abundantly elsewhere.  I had gifted music teachers who taught me the fire, passion, and grace of the music I sang.  I had a pair of grandparents who let me escape to the safety of their home often, never realizing the sanctuary they offered.  In my memory, now, but when they were with me, two wonderful women from my church were quietly supportive and gave me unconditional love.
I have lived in both New Hampshire and Pennsylvania, but my home is again in Connecticut at this time.  I am single, active in my home church and in the surrounding community.  When I'm not immersing myself in music or theatre, or active in the fandom of "Beauty and the Beast" (click here for information on this wonderful, yet overlooked show), I spend time reading, listening to the ever-growing list of CDs and tapes I have acquired, and writing both poetry and fan fiction.  When able, I travel to see friends abroad, and aspire to do more scenic traveling in the future.  At home, I attend a Christian singles group and enjoy meeting new people, both Christian and otherwise.  I am a lover of movies- I tend to be picky, but if it sparks my interest, I'm usually there cheering it on.  And if I'm allowed to 'toot my own horn', I'm known for my occasional spout of humor- I've been told I am great to have in an audience; my laugh is 'catching'.
