Ned Ashton was surprised by the phone call he got from Kristina and a little
curious, she just said she needed to see him, Alexis penthouse was just a
short drive from L&B studios. Ned was hoping that Alexis wouldn't be there
because just seeing her stirred up a lot of emotions, ones that he was
trying to let go of so that he could move on like she did but he was finding
it hard to just let go of the one woman that he loved with all his heart and
soul, she was his soul mate.

He had tried moving on by seeing Kristina, it was probably because she was
so like her sister Jax his friend had pointed out to him that Kristina was
Alexis without the baggage, he liked Kristina’s free spirit but deep down he
knew that it gave him a connection to Alexis.

She must of been waiting at the door for him because she opened it before
Ned even had a chance to knock and pulled him inside.

I'm so glad your here, I really blew it, God I cant believe I did it, I was
so stupid I really screwed things up. Kristina told Ned as panic began to
set in.

Slow down Kristina and tell me what you did. Ned told her as he lead her to
the couch and sat her down,

I told Sonny something I had no right to tell him and I cant take it back, I
really messed up, Alexis is going to kill me. She answered as she stood and
began pacing around stopping to rearrange things.

Ok slow down and tell me what you told Coronthois you shouldn’t have and why
is Alexis going to kill you? Ned asked as he once again led her to the
couch and sat her down.

I told him Alexis was in love with him.

You told Sonny Alexis was in love with him? Ned asked disappointed
You know this for a fact?

No that’s the problem she's not, and Sonny called her on it, and she told him
that she wasn’t in love with him because she has loved only three men in her
life Stephan, Nicholas and you. God Ned she only thought of Sonny as a
friend and nothing more. she told him trying not to cry.

Why would you tell him that if it wasn't true? Ned asked her as relief
washed over him.

I don’t know, I guess because I thought she was denying it and if she was
in love with Sonny then them seeing each other would be OK, but it's not Ned
she still loves you she just thinks that you don’t love her. She told him as
she looked away so she didn’t have to see the disappointment on his face.

Did she tell you that? He asked hopefully

She didn’t have to I could see it in her eyes when she mentioned your name,
there was so much pain.

Where is she?

I don’t know she went out of town, she said she had to get away, She was
really upset and I'm so worried about her, that’s why I called you.

Did she say where she was going? did she say anything at all?

The only thing she said was she's going somewhere she felt like a teenager
and could forget the world for a little while, but I have no idea what she
was talking about.

Look Kristina I'm sorry but I have to go. Ned told her as he headed for the
door.

You know where she is don’t you? she asked as she followed him.

Yeah, I have a good idea. He told her as he opened the door

When you see her will you tell her I'm sorry and that I love her. She asked
him as relief washed over her,

Kristina followed Ned out into the hall to the elevator

Yeah, I'll tell her. He replied as he stepped onto the elevator.

Ned couldn’t get the conversation he had with Kristina out of his mind.
especially the part where Alexis told Sonny she has only loved three men the
first would naturally be her brother Stephan they were close even before
they knew they were related in that way, Alexis had grown up on Cassadine
island and was told she was a cousin, she had seen Helena Cassadine Stephan’s
mother murder her own mother for having a affair with Mikkos Cassadine
Alexis and Stephan’s father. Stephan had always protected Alexis from his
abusive mother and older brother Stavros who took great pleasure in beating
Alexis. Nicholas was Alexis nephew he was the son of Stavros and Laura
Spencer and the heir to the Cassadine fortune, the prince if you will. But
the part that made him the happiest was that he was the third man she loved,
he had backed off because he had also thought that Alexis was in love with
Sonny, but he was wrong. He had to find her so that they could talk and find
out once and for all if were they stood with each other and if they had a
future together.

Ned reached the gatehouse in record time and went upstairs and hurriedly
pack a bag, he had a good idea where she was, that little inn in upstate New
York where they had gone when the Eddie's Angel fiasco had been at it's
peak, they had come up with a plan to avoid the reporters by exchanging
clothes with Ned’s niece Emily and Alexis’ nephew Nicholas and have them go out
the front door while he and Alexis slipped out the back, The plan worked
and they ended up at this little Inn, Since they were dressed like teenagers
they decided to pretend like they were teenagers. Ned smiled as he
remembered how they had danced and when he made advances toward her she
pretended to be shy,
so he told her he wouldn’t do anything she didn’t want him to do and would
stop whenever she wanted, he held her in his arms and as the kisses
intensified so did their passion, unable to hold back he made love to her in
front of the fireplace on the floor, He could still remember the feel of
her skin as he caressed her body, the way her nipples responded as he cupped
and kneaded her breast, the feel of her legs around him as he slipped inside
of her, the way she moved beneath him as he slowly made love to her, the
soft moans that escaped her lips as he moved faster and faster inside of
her, their body moving in perfect union with the other, he had never fit a
woman as perfectly as he did Alexis, he knew every inch of her body.
God he missed her not just the love making, he missed everything even the
fights, and the making up after the fights, grabbing his suitcase he headed
down the stairs and out the door, this time he was going to keep at it
until they worked their problems out or figured out it wasn’t going to work,
the one thing he knew for sure he wasn’t going to give up easily, He still
loved her and he hoped she still loved him. She was worth fighting for, the
trip couldn't end soon enough, he wanted to see her and know she was
alright.
