| CHAPTER 11 “What do you mean they’re alive?” Alexis asked V. V sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed next to Alexis. “It’s Simon. I love him so much but sometimes he seems to be going back to his old self. Before we were involved. Like when we were in Monte Carlo.” she said. Alexis nodded in understanding. “Alright.” Alexis said breathing. “But then he got involved with a really bad crowd.” she said shaking her head. “What do you mean by bad?” Alexis inquired. “Bad as in the mob bad.” V said rapidly. “Oh god.” Alexis gasped. “Well these guys are some kind of weird mob. They don’t really kill anyone they just make everyone around them think that they have.” she said. “That’s worse than killing them.” Alexis said coldly. “I know. “ V said. “ He didn’t tell me about it at first but I suspected that something was up. But Simon didn’t know me when I worked at the PCPD. He didn’t know how good a detective I was so he underestimated me and I found out. I was glad he wasn’t actually KILLING anyone but still, it’s so awful what he’s doing and I hate it. When he said that they had assigned him for people in Port Charles I was devastated.” she said tearfully. “Oh, V I’m so sorry.” Alexis comforting her. “He didn’t actually fake Brenda’s but he was reassigned to keep her in hiding and then he got to fake Chloe’s death.” she said. “What about Miranda?” she asked. “No, she’s really dead. I checked it out.” V said. “Okay. Boy, Jax is going to be in an emotional whirlwind.” she said slightly laughing. “Yeah.” V mused. “Does Simon know that your telling me?” she asked. “No.” V shook her head. “But I think Jax needs to know and you’re the objective one so...” V trailed off. “No, I agree V. He does need to know. The only thing is....He’s in love with Kristina now. He’s going to have to pick between three of the women he’s ever loved.” Alexis sad sadly. “Kristina’s going to be really sad.” V said. “Yes. Yes she is. But she’s strong.” Alexis smiled. “Like her sister.” V smiled. “Okay so um I think we should tell him together. Then we’ll tell Ned and my sister later. But not right now. I’ll let you know when I think it’s a good time.” “Okay.” V nodded as they left the bedroom and went back downstairs. Chapter 12 V and Alexis walked down the stairs laughing and talking but stopped short when they saw the living room. “What the hell happened in here?” Alexis cried. “Alexis...Brooke.” V hissed. “Oh. Heck. I meant heck. What the heck happened in here?’ Alexis repeated as everyone stifled laughs. “We went a little overboard. We wanted everything to be nice for our in-laws.” Jax said. “Oh shut up Jax.” Alexis laughed. “Am I missing something here?” V asked as they walked the rest of the way down the stairs. “A couple years ago when Jax and I were married I went a bit overboard for Christmas and that’s what I said so he thinks he being cute.” Alexis explained teasing Jax. “Well dear, I think we’re going to head out. I’m getting a bit tired.” Lady Jane said raising. “Oh okay.” Alexis said as she hugged Lady Jane and John goodbye. “Bye grandma Jane!” Brooke called after them. “Oh bye bye sweetie.” Jane waved to Brooke as they left and shut the door behind them. “Well I’m gonna go too.” Jax said getting up. “Bye Brooke.” he said. “Bye Uncle Jax!” Brooke cried. D “Bye Jax.” Alexis said as he kissed her cheek and hugged her a little too long for Ned’s taste. “Okay get your hands off my wife.” he said pulling her back into his arms. “Yeah okay Ashton. See ya.” he said and he left. “Well maybe I should go too.” V said timidly. “No V. You should stay here tonight.” Alexis said. “You sure?” V said. “Yes. I’m sure. Right sweetie.” Alexis said. “Sure.” Ned said sensing something was wrong. “Well okay. “ V said smiling. “Okay so when are we going to tell him?” V asked Alexis later as they laid on the guest room bed. “I don’t’ know. Um hey V?” Alexis asked. “Yeah?” she asked. “Have you actually talked to Chloe?” she asked. “Yes. Once. She was fine. She said she missed you and Ned like hell.” V told her. Alexis blinked back her tears. “Alexis do you want to see her? I can let you see her once.” V asked. “Really?” Alexis cried. “Yeah, really.” she said comforting her. “I’d really like that. “ she said. “Oh I’m glad.” V smiled. “Hey V, do you want to go baby shopping with me tomorrow?” she asked. “Yeah sure.” “Great. A bunch of the girls are going.” Alexis said. “The girls?” V asked. “Bobbie and Emily.” Alexis shrugged. “I wonder if we could get Chloe to go too.” V whispered. “Then we would have to tell Em and Bobbie.” Alexis said. “So?” V whispered. “SO?!” Alexis cried laughing. “Everyone’s going to find out anyways.” V said. “ And they can keep a secret.” V said her eyes sparkling with excitement. “V? What is it? You’re hiding something else.” Alexis said. “Okay, okay you got me. But don’t tell Ned.” V said as she reached for some more of the popcorn they had popped earlier. “Yeah, whatever.” Alexis said. “Okay um Kristina and Jax are keeping a secret of their own.” she said. “They do? What is it?” she asked. “Jerry is out of jail.” she said. “Oh my god really? Bobbie will be so happy. Please V let me tell her tomorrow!” Alexis pleaded. “Okay sure.” V shrugged. “Oh thank you thank you thank you!” Alexis cried. “No problem.” V said laughing. “Okay, I’m going to bed.” Alexis said. “Bye Lex.” V called after her. Alexis closed the door to the guest room and walked down the hallway. She went into Brooke’s room to see her sleeping. The light was still on though. She must have fallen asleep with it on. She thought. She turned the light off and kissed Brooke on the cheek. Then she left the room and went into the Master bedroom. Ned was already asleep. Alexis got in under the covers with him, turned the light off and wrapped her arms around him, he was sleeping on his side. His hand slid over to her hand and he rubbed it seductively. “Hey beautiful.” he whispered. “Hey.” she said. “ I thought you were asleep.” she whispered. “I was waiting for you. But now the fun can begin.” he said as he rolled over and started kissing her. “Ned!” Alexis shrieked quietly. “Not tonight Ned. Not tonight.” she whispered. “Why not?” he asked as he continued to kiss her. “Because Brooke and V are right down the hallway.” she said. “Besides your child is very tired.” she smiled. “I know. You just said Brooke was asleep.” he said. “Ned...not that child.” she whispered. “What? OH.” he said realizing it. Then they snuggled up together and fell asleep. |
