Brenda, Jax, Alexis and Ned arrive at Alexis’ penthouse. “Okay, everybody sitdown.” she told everybody. Jax, Ned and Brenda seated themselves on the couches. Jax and Brenda sat across from Ned. They all turned to watch what Alexis was doing. Alexis went over to her hall closet and opened it and reached up to get a dusty cardboard box and sat it down on the coffee table. “You got me a box?” Ned asked curiously trying to be funny. “Open it” she told him. Ned took the lid off the carboard box and lifted an old antique red chest out and unhinged it. He lifted many old papers out before he came to what he was sure he was looking for. It was an offical looking envolope. “This?” he asked Alexis. Alexis nodded encouraging him to go on. Ned opened the envoloped and pulled out an offical looking document. After reading it over several times he gasped. “Alexis, is this for real?” he asked hoping it was. “Yes. Ned, I’m pregnant.” She said looking at him. It was at that time that Brenda screamed. “Oh my God, oh my God.” Brenda said. “I’m so happy for you.” she said hugging Alexis who graciously accepted the hug. “I’m happy for you two.” Jax said kissing Alexis on both cheeks. “Thank you.” Alexis said, happy for the first time in what seemed like forever. “Ned, let’s get married tonight.”  She said. “Tonight? Are you sure?” he asked her. “Yes. “ She said nodding. “Where at?” he asked. “Belize.” she said, both of them smiling at the memory. “No more islands.” Brenda said and the four of them laughed. “Ned, I want Lila , Emily, Chloe, my brother, Nikolus and Zander.” she told him pleading with him. “Alexis, I’m so happy you could invite Sonny and Sorel and I wouldn’t give a damn.” he told her. “Oh thank you.” she said kissing him full on the lips which he happily obliged to. “Well where are we going to get married at?” She asked him. “Why don’t we just get married in a church just us and the witnesses?” he asked. “Sounds good to me.” She said happily. Brenda and Jax nodded in agreement. “Okay, I’ll call Reginald and tell him to take Lila, Emily, Chloe and Zander to the church. Grandmother will come up with a cover story.”  Ned said going over to the phone to call them. “Okay.” Alexis said. “Brenda, why don’t you stay here with Ned until the three of them get here. Jax and I will go get Nikolus and he’ll probally bring Gia. And I’ll call my brother on the way. Brenda, are you okay with Chloe? Because if-“ “It’s okay, Alexis. I understand about Chloe.” Brenda reassured her. Alexis smiled. “Okay then. Jax? Let’s go.” She told him. “Alright. We’ll be back.” he called over his shoulder to Brenda. ~*~ In the car on the way to the cottage Alexis dials Stephan’s phone number. “Hi Stephan. It’s Alexis. Meet me at St. Peters Church at seven o’clock this evening......Ned and I are getting married.....yes we worked it all out......just a few people......yes Nik will be there and Stephan don’t make a scene.....No I don’t have a dress. Okay, see you then. Bye.” Alexis hung up. “What was that all about?” Jax asked. “Nik has declared himself no longer a Cassadine because of all this Spencer/Cassdine War.” she explained. “We’re here.” Jax said. They both got out of the car and walked up the steps to Nik’s house. Knocking on the door Alexis said to Jax, “I want to carefully plan telling Stephan about my pregnancy. I don’t know how he’ll react.” Alexis said. Jax nodded in agreement. “Hi, Alexis.” Gia said opening the door. “I’ll go get Nikolus.” she said disappearing into the kitchen for a minute before reapearing with Nik. “Hey Alexis. Jax. Nice to see you again.” Nik said. “Thanks. You too.” Jax said being polite. “I have something to ask the two of you” Alexis said. Nik and Gia looked at each other curiously. “Ned and I are getting married at the church tonight and I would like you two to come.” Alexis said smiling. “You and Ned worked things out?” Nik said smiling. “That’s great.” “You can count us in.” Gia added. “Great. It’s at seven o’clock. And whatever you do don’t tell Edward.” Alexis warned. They all laughed. “Oh, Nikolus, Stephan will be there but you don’t have to talk to him and he promised not to make a scene.” Alexis told her nephew before leaving with Jax. Nikolus nodded in agreement. ~*~ Alexis and Jax have returned to the penhouse but Chloe, Lila, Emily and Zander haven’t arrived yet. “Alexis I didn’t tell Grandmother that Jax and Brenda were back so....” Ned trailed off. “I’ll speak to Chloe.” Jax put in. “You sure?” Alexis questioned. “I can talk to her if you want.” she offered. “No, it’s okay.” Jax said. “But Jax-“ Alexis started to say but her sentace was interupted by a knock at the door. Alexis went to open it to reveal Chloe, Zander, Emily, and Lila pushed by Reginald. “Hi, come in everyone. We can leave as soon as my brother gets here. Nik and Gia are meeting us at the church.” she said smiling. “Alright.”  They all said before entering. Emily was the first to come in and dropped Zanders hand when she was who was there. “Brenda!” she shouted running over to hug her. “Hey sweetie.” she said returning the hug. “I’ve missed ya.” she whispered in Emily’s ear. Emily broke lose of Brenda to introduce her to Zander. “Brenda, this is Zander, Zander this is Brenda.” Emily said making the introductions. Brenda and Zander shook hands. “I’ve heard a lot about ya. I met Emily when she modeled for Deception.” Brenda said. “You modeled?” Zander asked Emily amazed. “Well...I...uh...” Emily said leading Zander away to talk to him privatly. Brenda laughed at her friend trying to make exuses to her boyfriend. “Brenda dear we all thought you were dead. What happened?” Lila asked. “It’s a long story, Lila. “ Brenda said bending down to speak to the elderly lady. “To make a long story, short, Helena.” Brenda said shrugging her shoulders. “I see.” Lila said wheeling herself over to talk to Emily. “Chloe? Are you OK?” Alexis said looking at Chloe who seemed to be in a Daze. “Exuse us.” Jax said leading Chloe into the kitchen. “I guess you found Brenda.” Chloe said sadly. “Yeah, I did, but Chloe there will always be a special place in my heart for you and I’m really glad that you’ve fully recovered.” Jax said calmly. “It’s okay.” Chloe said putting on a smile, trying to figure out how to tell him about what had happned. “I had kind of accepted us being over.” she said. “Friends?” Jax asked “Friends.” Chloe agreed giving him a hug. Jax and Chloe rejoined the others and even though Alexis knew that Chloe had probally told Jax that she was okay with Brenda she couldn’t help seeing the coldness in her eyes but she also knew that Chloe wasn’t feeling hurt from Jax. She was still hurt from Stephan.  After Chloe had been introduced to Brenda , Alexis took her aside. “Chloe, I have a request.” Alexis said. “Sure, what?” Chloe asked her friend. “Give my brother another chance.” Alexis said. “You two are close. And I know he told you that he loved you and you were taken a back by him but I think you two could really work out. I think that deep down you love him too.” Alexis said smiling at her friend. “Alexis he lied to me-“ Chloe started to say. “Chloe, that’s part of who Stephan is. He will do anything to take Helena down.  However, I do know that once he had hurt someone, he won’t hurt them again. Trust me on this. Give him another chance. For me?” she pleaded. “Well...okay, but I’m only doing this for you.” Chloe said starting to smile. “Thanks.” Alexis said kissing her on the cheek. “Okay, everybody listen up.” Alexis called out gesturing for Ned to join her. “We have an annocemnt.” Ned said. “Yeah and I need to carefully tell my brother or else he’ll freak.” she said laughing. “Alexis is pregnant.” Ned said squeezing her hand. “Wow!” “Congratiolations!” Everyone, minus Jax and Brenda who already knew, started congratalating them and giving them hugs and kisses. A knock a the door interupted their celebration. Alexis shushed them all before opening the door. “Hello Alexis.” Stephan said. “Mr. Jacks. Ms. Barrett.” I heard you were back in town. “Hello Everyone.” Stephan greeted the company. “Alexis I have brought you a wedding gift.” Stephan told her handing her an enormous white box wrapped in wedding paper with silver ribbon. “Oh my.” Alexis said taking the lid off of the box. “Oh Stephan...” Alexis whispered lifting an old wedding dress out. “This is beautiful. Where did you find it?” She asked. “Alexis, this was your mothers’ dress. She and our father planned to wed. Mikkos was to divorce Helena and marry Kristen but as you know they never got the chance.” Stephan told her. “Oh..” Alexis gasped. “Why don’t you go put it on?” Ned suggested putting a supporting arm around her. “Okay.” Alexis said nodding tearfully and disappeared upstairs into the bedroom. A few minutes later Alexis walked into the room. The dress was a scoop neck, short sleeved dress. It came past her ankles with a short train. It was an old worn out lacy material that covered the satin underneath it. A simple crown came with it and Alexis, with the help of Brenda and Emily had managed to pile her hair on top of her head with the crown. Everyone commented that she looked beautiful.
