Player Profiles

Rochelle Alcon

5-8  Jr.  Goalkeeper  Mora, N.M.

Alcon, a member of the 1998 Rangerette state champion girls' basketball team, played in 1998-99 for the Cowgirl basketball squad. New to soccer.

Anamaria Armijo

5-7  Jr.  Defender  Albuquerque, N.M.

Armijo has developed a reputation as one of the better defensive players in the RMAC. Her superb footwork and physical play give opposing forwards fits.

April Ball

5-7  Sr.  Forward  Albuquerque, N.M.

The only player to have been a part of the first Cowgirl soccer team still on the roster, Ball is a versatile and unselfish veteran.

Brynn Chavez

5-3  Jr.  Forward  Farmington, N.M.

Best known for an often effective cross, Chavez is ever-dangerous along the end lines and is a good ballhandler.

Alma Dorado

5-5  Sr.  Goalkeeper  Long Beach, Calif.

Dorado starred at shortstop for the Cowgirl softball team for two seasons.  A good athlete, she makes her first try at playing keeper in 2000.

Annette Denton

5-3  So.  Midfielder  Alamogordo, N.M.

Denton was one of NMHU's key reserves in '99 and on more than one occasion gave the Cowgirls a boost when they needed it.

Malia "Mia" Dixon

5-10  So.  Forward/Keeper  Kirtland, N.M.

A potential all-RMAC player with a big kick and talent galore, Dixon filled in admirably at goalkeeper and should improve offensively this season.

Geralyn Espinoza

5-4  So.  Defender  Bernalillo, N.M.

Espinoza is expected to contribute significantly in 2000 after spending much of her frosh year sidelined.
