Anna Williams

Senior ... Aztec, N.M.

Williams' storybook collegiate career was highlighted by her earning All-American honors in 1999 along with the Cowgirl of the Year plaque.  The former Aztec star earned all-RMAC recognition as a freshman and again as a junior.  In between, Anna took a year off to give birth to daughter Alizabeth, then returned to top condition and surpassed even her impressive early performances.  She was the lone Cowgirl runner to qualify for the '99 Nationals and ran 22nd.

Williams' decision to return for her senior season will boost her team's chances of making the national meet in 2000. And it will continue a remarkable story.
