Finally, the moment has arrived...the season finale of Making the Band. The guys are each busy trying to write songs for the new album. They each get to present a song to Clive that could possibly be used for the new album, but with the biggest writers in the industry piling up their works, the odds aren't exactly in O-Town's favor. Ashley presents his song "By Your Side", which reminds me of a classic boy band love song, but it sadly gets turned down. Dan's pick "Yes or No" gets rejected as well. Jacob and Dan's "American Game", which would be a great match for "Love Should Be A Crime", also gets denied. Erik's "Get Away" gets the cut too. Finally, "A Girl Like That" written by Ashley, Dan, Trevor, and Rich Cronin of LFO, which is a great upbeat song which is sure to be a favorite, is considered a well-written and a good song. From the songs the guys wrote, it's obvious that they have grown so much in writing since Season 1. It also shows that they as O-Town have grown, but this is still only the beginning. |
