"New Life to Live" - SID

When Michael McBain lost all of Al Holden's memories, actor Nathaniel Marston found himself with a completely different role to play. So what are his secrets for facilitating the change? "I haven't really done anything," explains the performer. "Characters kind of create themselves. Michael is a doctor, so automatically, he's different from Al, who was younger and was going in a different direction — he was going to study law." One of the perks of the new role is the expanded story possibilities. "Michael has interactions with other characters like John, Shannon and Eve," he says. "It's cool because it has opened up unchartered areas." Still, there is one thing that both characters have in common: their love for Marcie. But Marston clarifies that it is not the same relationshup Al and marcie had. "It can't be," he concludes. "And it will be fun to see the different ways the come together."
