Artist: A Perfect Circle

Album: Mer De Noms

A Perfect Circle is just... well a group of musicians put together to have some fun! Lead singer Maynard James Keenan from Tool sings for APC and my god it sounds good. The CD name(Mer De Noms) means "Sea of Names" which speaks for most of the titles on the album. This CD gets a 9/10 for being near perfect, but has 4 songs which are mediocore(Thomas, Renholder, Breņa, Over) which the rest make up for.

Sea of Names starts out with "The Hollow" which is you've listened to Lateralus(Tool)' "The Grudge" you will notice they are both kickass and get you pumped up for the rest of the CD. Ah Magdalena(one of my favs.) is a nice slow/fast song which really shows that APC means business with this CD and shows how well they make music. Rose is the first A Perfect Circle song I ever listened to(Thanks to 0 :-D) which is a very... "interesting" and creative song. Judith, yes Judith probably the best song on this CD, this song... as I view it is basically bashing god and complimenting him, in a good way. Orestes is the next song and is quite good is sets you up for the other great track "3 Libras".Now 3 Libras definitely takes the cake and makes up for any flaws in Judith. I've yet to see one person not like this song so how easily it is to like. Sleeping Beauty is also another cool song which I like, lower down on my list of favorites but is still there. Now the next two I never "hit off" with they never "did it" for my tastes. Thomas and Renholder, both fair but not that great to me. Thinking of you, a fast song which is... well "thinking of you" I like this track. Now the last two on the album(like Thomas and Renholder) I just do not like. There isn't much to say about Breņa and Over so I will leave this review on a good note. A Perfect Circle just rocks.
