Vagrant Records, one of the foremost record labels of punk and emo release yet another compilation with some of their top bands. The Get Up Kids, Dashboard Confessional, No Motiv, Alkaline Trio, Face to Face and many other top groups appear on this jaw dropping CD. I was at Hot Topic, and the chick there recommended this (as she does to most of the compilations I get, most of them are quite good too =P) When I first listened to the CD I thought it was pretty good, nothing astounding, but then I really started appreciating it. It is amazing. So many songs stand out on this. Songs like Bill of Goods by Face to Face or Trust Me by Viva Death, are phenomenal songs by phenomenal bands that I never get tired of listening to. The well-known Dashboard Confessional also makes two appearances on this CD with “Screaming Infidelities” and “Hands Down”. Saves the Day also has a couple songs on here too. I going to be honest with you now, I never really liked these guys, but they do have one song on here that I honestly enjoy, “Ups & Downs” This song talks about getting through tough times, and that you’ll eventually be free from it all. “Sweet Marie”, a song by The Anniversary is a really soft melodic song. There are just too many good songs to mention. The only songs I really didn’t enjoy on this CD were the newcomers Audio Learning Center songs and one of the Hot Rod Circuit songs. They just didn’t really into them as much as the others. If your looking for hard punk, look somewhere else, but if you’re looking for some good relaxing emo pick this up immediately. For only 6 bucks for 70 minutes of music, you can’t go wrong. My rating is a rare 10/10. Feel free to contact me at my email (TheStewbacca@hotmail.com) or at the Narcolepsy Forums (Stewbacca DPG).
