Fountains were carved within the earth by running water. From the pages of the Holy Bible. Copyright (C) by Noelene Rout 5th March 2005 All Rights Reserved. Q. What is a fountain? A. A fountain is: A spring of water, a well of water, a wellspring of water, a cistern of water, a place where water runs, flows, spurts, or gushes out of the earth. Q. How did water get into the earth? A. Heat causes water from all over the earth to evaporate..dry up (break into pieces and become) mist (water vapour) that rises up and enters into the atmosphere (air). Where the atmosphere is cool, drops of water condense around tiny pieces of dust that are floating in the air, and the drops of water form clouds, and the clouds get very heavy, or very cold, and they drop the water back down over the earth, and water soaks into the earth, and water runs all over the earth, and water trickles, seeps, and runs down into holes, and cracks, and crevices in the earth, and the waters flow beneath the earth; that is how water got into the earth. Q. How did water carve fountains within the earth? A. Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers. Psalm 74:15 A. Thou didst [baqa..break through, break into, tear, cleave, be cleft, cleave asunder, divide, be divided, rend, rent, be rent, be rent asunder, rip up, be ripped up, break out, cut out, burst, be broken up, be broken in pieces] cleave the [mayan..well, spring, fountain] fountain and the [nachal..stream, brook, river, flood, valley] flood: thou [yabesh..make dry, make dry up, dry up, to dry up, be dried, be dried up, dry, be withered, wither away, be withered away] driedst up [ethan..rough, strong, firm, hard, mighty] mighty [nahar..stream, river, flood] rivers. Psalm 74:15 A. Water cuts into the earth. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers. Habakkuk 3:9 A. Water cuts into stone. He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; Job 28:10 A. Water wears away stone. The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man. Job 14:19 A. Water carries broken and dead pieces of vegetation, and also the earth and rock that it cuts and wears away from above the ground, and beneath the ground, from higher parts of the earth, to lower parts of the earth. A. flowing sediment laden water carved fountains within the earth by abrasion, erosion, and transportation, (baqa..breaking through the earth, and bursting through the earth, and breaking into the earth, and tearing into the earth, and cleaving the earth apart, and ripping the earth up, and breaking pieces out of the earth, and cutting pieces out of the earth, and cutting it up, and breaking it up, and breaking it into pieces, and wearing it down, and carrying it away). Q. What causes water to shoot up, and out of the earth, from geysers? A. Beneath the earth there is heat, Job 28:5 and the heat warms the rocks that are beneath the earth, and the waters beneath the earth are warmed by the rocks, and the waters begin to boil Job 41:31 and pressure builds up and causes the water, and also steam from the boiling water, to shoot up, and out of the earth. Hot Springs. Geysers. Q. What causes water to gush up, and out of the earth, from fountains? A. Water has weight. Job 28:25 Water falls. Micah 1:4 Beneath the earth the weight of falling water forces fountains of water in valleys and hills to spring (gush) up, and out of the earth. Jeremiah 6:7.. Deuteronomy 8:7 There are fountains of water in the earth beneath the sea. Genesis 7:11..Genesis 8:2..Proverbs 8:28 If there are fountains of water in the earth beneath the sea, then, there is water in the ground in the earth beneath the sea, Genesis 7:11..Genesis 8:2..Proverbs 8:28 and there is water that is falling in the earth beneath the sea Genesis 7:11..Genesis 8:2..Proverbs 8:28 and there are mountains, hills, and valleys, in the earth beneath the sea Micah 1:4..Genesis 7:11..Genesis 8:2..Proverbs 8:28..Deuteronomy 8:7..Isaiah 41:18 and there are holes, and cracks, and crevices in the earth beneath the sea Genesis 7:11..Genesis 8:2..Proverbs 8:28 and there are rocks in the ground in the earth beneath the sea Psalm 46:2 and there is heat in the ground in the earth beneath the sea Job 28:5 and the heat in the ground in the earth beneath the sea, warms the rocks in the ground in the earth beneath the sea, causing geysers and fountains of water to gush, and shoot up, from the earth beneath the sea. Genesis 7:11..Genesis 8:2..Proverbs 8:28.. Jeremiah 6:7 Water [rathach] bubbles. Job 41:31..There are bubbles of water at the bottom of the sea.
