My roote is openyde bisidis watris, and deew schal dwelle in my repyng. Job 29:19 Wycliffe.

The roots of plants grow deep into the soil.
Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it..Thou preparedst
room for it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land. Psalm 80:8,9

Beneath the ground the roots of plants spread out.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river. Jeremiah 17:8

The roots of plants swell when they are in water.
My roote is openyde bisidis watris, and deew schal dwelle in my repyng. Job 29:19 Wycliffe.

Plants take water from the soil through their roots.
And when he had sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and devoured them up:..
Some fell upon stoney places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they
had no deepness of earth:..And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root,
they withered away. Matthew 13:4-6..Mark 4:4-6

If plants take water from the soil through their roots, then, there are openings in the roots of plants.

Water
dries up (evaporates) from the earth.
And in the second month, on the seventh and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
Genesis 8:14

When water
dries up (evaporates) from the earth, and there is no precipitation (rainfall), the ground dries
out..Amos 4:7..and the earth grows hard, and the earth breaks into pieces. Jeremiah 14:4

Plants dry up from their roots.
And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots..Mark 11:20
Things that dry up shrivel and shrink.
Look at a piece of dried  apricot, it is shriveled and shrunken.

The roots of plants shrivel and shrink as they dry up beneath the soil..If the roots of plants swell when
they are in water, and the roots of plants shrivel and shrink when they dry up, then, the roots of plants
shrink and expand beneath the soil.

The shrinking and expanding of plant roots beneath the soil, cause the earth surrounding plants to move
about..Above
and beneath the surface of the earth, the earth is moved about by the roots of plants..Soil
contains air..Aeration of the soil.

There are rocks and stones beneath the earth.
His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones. Job 8:17

Beneath the soil the roots of plants spread themselves out..Jeremiah 17:8..and wrap themselves around
earth and rocks and stones.

Rocks and stones can be broken into pieces. Matthew 27:51
And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by,
and a great strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the
LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
1 Kings 19:l1

Water soaks down into the earth and its rocks.
Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which cometh from the rock of the field. Jeremiah 18:14
He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. Psalm 105:41

Sometimes plants grow within rocks.
A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trodden down,
and the fowls of the air devoured it..And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it
withered away, because it lacked moisture. Luke 8:5,6

Where plants grow within rocks and stones, the expanding and shrinking of plant roots, force those rocks
and stones,
above and beneath the earth to shatter (break apart..break into pieces)..Mechanical Erosion..
Beneath the soil the roots of plants break rocks and stones into pieces..Force..Pressure..Aeration of the
soil.

Q. What causes water to dry up (evaporate) from plants?

A. Heat causes water to dry up (evaporate). Job 24:19..Job 6:15-17

A. The heat of the sun causes moisture (water) to dry up (evaporate) into the air (atmosphere) from
plants all over the earth.
James 1:11..Matthew 13:6..Mark 4:6..The atmosphere is made up of a
combination of vapours.

For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth,
and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. James 1:11
