And it happened that as Jesus went to Jerusalem, he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

And as he went into a certain village, there met him ten men who had
a disease which attacked their skin
and nerves and caused feelings to be lost in those parts of the body that were afflicted with the ailment

(leprosy) and they stood far away from him.

And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

And when Jesus saw them, he said to them, Go and show yourselves to the priests. And it happened,
that as they went, they were healed.

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God.

And he fell down on his face at the feet of Jesus, and thanked him: and the man was a Samaritan.

And Jesus answered and said, Weren't ten men healed? where are the other nine?

Didn't any of them return to give glory to God, except this man who is not a Jew.

And Jesus said to the man, Get up, and go your way: your faith has made you better.

The other nine lepers were probably
Galileans (Jews). See Luke 17:18
