Story form...
And (as soon as it was) early in the..Jn 18:28) morning, the whole council of the chief priests, and the scribes and the elders of the people held a council meeting against Jesus to put him death.

And when they had [
deo] tied him, the whole multitude of them got up, and they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the hall of judgment: and they delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor. But they did not go into the judgment hall, because they wanted to eat the  [pascha] passover, and they did not want to [miaino..defiled..stained, tainted, tinged] defile themselves.

Then Pilate went out to the chief priests and the scribes and the elders of the people, and he said, What is the accusation that you bring against this man.

And they started running him down, and accusing him of things, and they said, If he wasn't a doer of evil, we would not have delivered him to you. We found this fellow corrupting the people, and telling them not to give taxes to Caesar, and that he was Christ a King.

Then Pilate said to them, You take him, and judge him according to your law. Therefore the Jews said to him, It is not [
exesti] lawful for us to put any man to death.
So that the words would happen, which Jesus spoke, [
semaino] showing how he would die.

Then Pilate went into the judgment hall again, and he called Jesus, and Jesus came and stood before him:
And Pilate spoke to him and said, Are you the King of the Jews?

Jesus answered Pilate, and said, Are you yourself asking me if I am the King of the Jews, or did others tell you that I was the King of the Jews?

Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you to me: what have you done?

Jesus answered, My [
basileia..realm] kingdom is not of this world: if my [basileia..realm] kingdom was of this world, then my servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now my [basileia..realm] kingdom is not from here.

Pilate therefore said to him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. For this reason I was born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone that is of the truth hears my voice.

Pilate said to him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, I find no [
aitia..case, cause, fault] crime in him at all.

And the chief priests and the elders [
kategoreo..speak down, accuse, charge with offences] ran him down, and they accused him of many things: and they insisted fiercely and said, He [anaseio..shake, stir up, move, excite] is stirring up the people, teaching throughout all the land of Judah, starting from Galilee to here. but Jesus said nothing.

Then Pilate said to Jesus, You answer nothing? Look how many things they are speaking against you.

But after that, Jesus [
ouketi..after that, no more, no more at all, any more, no longer] still said nothing. And Pilate, the governor marvelled greatly.

When Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if Jesus was a Galilaean.
And as soon as he was told that Jesus was a Galilaean, he realized that Jesus belonged to the jurisdiction of Herod, so, he sent Jesus to Herod, who happened to be at Jerusalem at the time.
And when Herod saw Jesus, he was very happy, because he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard a lot of things about him; and he was hoping to see Jesus perform a miracle.
Then he asked Jesus a lot of questions, but Jesus did not answer his questions.
And the chief priests and the scribes stood before Herod and they [
eutonos] accused him strenuously.
And Herod with his [
strateuma] army of soldiers [exoutheneo] treated Jesus as if he was a worthless and contemptible person, and they [empaizo] treated him like a child, and they [periballo] threw a [lampros] gay [esthes] robe around him, and they sent him back to Pilate.

And on that day Pilate and Herod became friends: because before that they [
echthra..hatred, enmity] hated one another.

And Pilate called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, and he said to them, You have brought this man to me, as one that is [
apostrepho] perverting the people: and, I having questioned him before you, have found no [aition..cause, case, fault, crime] crime in this man in relation to those things that you are accusing him of.

And neither did Herod: because I sent you to him; and, look, he has done nothing that is worthy of death.

I will therefore [
paideuo] chasten him, and [apoluo] set him free.

Then Pilate's soldiers took Jesus and led him into
the common hall, called Praetorium; (Pilate's office).

And Pilate flogged him.
