The sun does hide, the sky so pale
The rains do haunt me and so does the gale
Outside mine window I chance to see
Two birds that has perched upon yon tree

How happy they seem despite the gloom
Dancing on yon branch and chirping a tune
How the beaks do touch at each other's plume
As kissing with passion even as clouds do loom

A second pass by as one jumps forth
To yon next branch, a third and a fourth
The wings stretched out as if to fly
As a song is let out with all its might

But fly it did not, as I would expect
And not to a better place as I suspect
But hopped back to its mate it did do
For what's the use of leaving a mate so true

It did fly far after moment or two
But not alone; as a couple they flew
I glance upon my heart and what do I see
A maiden and queen that has set mine heart free

Desires of the world do I seek not
I am free of these, for to leave thee I cannot
Those things afar I do not seek
For thou hast freed me from wanting yon peaks

Thou finds a home where thine heart lies
And I found mine with thee, that I canst deny
For even as a tree of might needs the ground
Mine hast taken root in thee I found
