1.Safety
first
1.1. Neverput
any part of your body under a load. Take care particular to your fingers,
feets, nose, fish and other sensible parts of your body.
1.2. Think
like a lumberer, woodcutter. If the load is going down, Murphy is throughout,
where will it go? Never be in this area.!!
That needs #1.3.
1.3. Planing
is very importend. Think a while on what do you want to do. Than put all
the stuff you need in an area you can reach it at any time.
After every step you have
done with the load take a calm look on it: becomes the plan working?
1.4. Never
put more than 3 lumber pieces top of one another (better only two pieces).
1.5. The
only way: work with the weight, never against
it.
1.6. Remember: someday
you will forgot every damaged piece but you never forget a damaged part
of the body.
1.7. Take care, god bless.
2. Stuff
you need
2.1. A
large number of different lumber pieces (batten, blocks with different
thickness, quite straight).
2.2. A
crowbar. If you handle bigger loads (more than 500 Kg or 1000 lbs
you need a Bar 8' x 3'' x 4'' to got a better lever.
2.3. 3
wooden roller with quite the same diameter (bigger weight = bigger roller).
2.4. Sometimes
a handbarrow is fine but not essential.
Some theoretics
if you want
Kraft = needed power
Last = load
lesson to learn:
loads up to 500 Kg (~1000 lbs) are possible
to handle "singlehanded",
loads up to 3000 Kg (~6000
lbs) are possible to handle with two persons working together.
Examples:
lesson to learn:
Picture 1: never do a
bigger load flat to the floor (put some battens under the load).
Picture 2: put a batten
between crowbar and load (like in picture 3)
Picture 3: sometimes you
need some steps to got your load where you want.
but remember #1.4. and
: bigger load = more steps
bigger loads
transport
lessons to learn:
Picture 1: someone has forgotten the batten
between crowbar and load.
Picture 2:
this pic isn't correct: the middle roller must be secured with battens
at both sides.
Picture 3: the middle roller must be secured
at the right side
you see: minimum are 3 rollers at the correct position and -please,
secure the roller with the biggest load with a batten therewith it can't
turn back. Think about your fingers!!
Roll it where you want.
Working with
a handbarrow
remember safety-rule #1.2.
Secure the wheels from
both
sides!
Working with
the weight
take care that your load can not press away
your base. If this will be, you need to do some smaller steps.
