Grammy, you will always be very, very loved.  I miss you but I know that you are happier now and no longer in pain.
My Grandmother was extremely important in my life...I cannot imagine where I would be without the support and understanding that she offered me.
My parents did the best they could for me, I guess, but they split when I was very young and perhaps their own bitterness and problems got in the way.  Grammy was the person I could count on to KNOW what I was feeling, and so she was the one I turned to in times of trouble and pain. My Grammy was my mother figure, because for whatever reasons my mother couldn't be one (and still can't).
Grammy was the most avid bookworm I have ever known...I get my love of books and reading from her.  She always had stacks of books all over her house, and boxes of books in her closets.
She also loved crossword puzzles, word finds, fill-ins...anything to challenge her mind.
Grammy loved nature, and some of my fondest memories of her are on walks we shared. We talked about some of her favorite things, like lilacs and pussywillows; or how she loved the pansies because they looked like the faces of little men.
