I've had the privilidge of meeting Nolan North several times. The first time I met Nolan was at the 1999 Soap Opera Awards, but the encounter was very brief. About a week or two later, he (along with castmates Sarah Aldrich, Michael Dietz and Jay Pickett) appeared at "Soap Opera Day at Santa Anita" in Arcadia, CA. There was my first chance to actually spend some time talking to Nolan (as well as Jay), who turned out to be a very nice, friendly, down-to-earth guy, just as I had expected. Very funny, too!

I met Nolan again at two Port Charles fan events, and as always he was very sweet. In March of 2001, I had the opportunity to tour the PC set, and saw Nolan once again. By this point, he recognized me and knew my name, and also stated that he had been reading the SoapZone message boards from time to time. It was great fun watching him tape a scene on the set.

The last time I saw Nolan was October of 2001 at the "Daytime Unites" event in North Hollywood. This was, by far, my best and my favorite encounter with Nolan, as I got to talk to him for quite awhile. It was there that he told me how much he appreciated what the fans were doing for him, writing in to support him and try to get him more airtime. Nolan is an extremely nice, charming, funny guy in person, and I truly hope that all of the fans have the opportunity to meet him one day!
