Chapter Six
Trunks stopped on the ground below him taking a glance around but didn't see anything. As he went to the water shore line, he saw a dress piled up on the ground with nothing else. The grass was slightly smashed down from where feet had once hovered it before taking the next step.
He saw them disappearing out into the water, than he saw it. Her bandanna, how he hated her wearing it. Now he could only be thankful she was this once for his sake and hers. He stripped of his clothes, save his pants, so he wouldn't be weighted down. His body was tense and cold already before even touching the water. Though sweat dripped from him, making little pools onto top of the water for a split second. Finally his face hit the water being driven in from his body pointing downward.
It was dark and cool. He felt like his skin was being torn off by a thousands little sewing pins. His breath no longer see able in the darken water. He could feel his hair being iced by the water into thin strains as his feet pushed him more and more into the open arms of the water that was killing the one he had been killing. How ironic that he wanted to save that one thing now, yet not mend what he had done to it. To only keep on torturing her with his lies that he spoke between breaths of his feelings for her.
He knew he was running out of time, his lunges ached to let out the air they were building up. To size back down, and breath air other than this coolness that the water held. Trunks felt it, but ignored the pain. And through this time, he saw her. Barely, but he saw her. Praise her white skin that glistened even in the darkness of this grave under the water.
He powered up, radiating heat from his body and exploding to her. Grabbing her naked body to his half naked body and shooting up to the world above.
"Ah!" he screamed out loud finally being able to leave that water with what he wanted, in his arms hanging dead. He cradled her body and laid it on the ground looking over her with eyes paining at every part he saw.
Her lips so blue, and not red anymore. Her eyelids closed and not opened, showing the life of happiness. Her small nose holding the color of blueness while her cheeks were white as her skin and not pink anymore. Lips parted with nothing coming out. How she looked like the goddess of death right now. An angel of beauty that held death in her body.
He moved on top of her letting his body smother her with height and weight. His breath pushing into her lips. Pushing her lips further apart with his own as he looked wide open at her for any sign of life.
He powered up even more now sending his own power mixed in with every breath he breathed into her. Hoping one would save her. More and more power he poured into her body, awaiting for her body to awake from its slumber of death.
"Yes, please don't stop, just a little more. I can feel it again, your love for me. Youre the only one who can save me. You just have to say it and believe it. Bring me from this slumber and back into your arms. Put away your amour and lies of shielding me away from you. Shielding the truth from you about me." Pan raced in her mind as she was trapped in her dream yelling for him. Yelling for him to save her .
"Pan, I love you." he whispered pulling away feeling that he had lost her forever now. That she had died in his arms, like she wanted in the note. Now she would never return, or hear him say that he did love her but he couldn't tell her. Not until it was too late. He pained this moment, this is why he did it. He knew everything and everyone he ever loved would end up hurt or dieing. And now it came true, though this time it was because of him. His eyes closed with shame and no honor of what he had done. He held her body even tighter now in his arms feeling defeat taking over with guilt and rage.
"You came for me."
His eyes open to disbelief, his head tilting down looking into those eyes that held life now again. He squeezed her shoulders to make sure it was real. That he was feeling her in his arms now, breathing.
"Ah, that hurt you baka ." she said softly. It wasn't a dream. His head rested on her shoulder now as he rocked her back and forth. His lips curving a slight smile now, a smile that she didn't see but knew was there.
"I knew you loved me. My Trunks-san." she cooed before closing her eyes again. Knowing she would be safe now. Safe with him.
"Pan, I don't..." but he stopped. It was no use in saying anything
that she would not hear. He took off to his old house to have his Kaasama put
her in the generation tank along with him in the next one. "I only did
what anyone else would have done. I'm sorry Pan." he said to himself.
