| Flamingo Road was set in the South in the fictional community of Truro Country, Florida. The town was run by the corrupt and powerful sheriff, Titus Semple, who made it his points to know everyone`s business. The original storyline centered around a triangle between ambitious politician Fielding Carlyle, his beautiful and scheming political wife Constance Wheldon and his true love, singer Lane Ballou. Other characters included the wealthy paper mill owner, Claude Wheldon, his wife Eudora and son Skipper; construction magnate Sam Curtis; newspaper publisher Elmo Tyson and the shady saloon-keeper Lute-Mae Sanders. In the second season the series introduced the new villian Michael Tyrone, who sought revenge against the whole town for past crimes committed against his father. |
