Full-time Father
<Flashback>

“Hey Justin!  I’m here,” Carrie hollered as she hurried down the hotel corridor.  Suddenly a door Carrie had just passed swung open, revealing her boyfriend of 4 years Justin Timberlake of Nsync.  “Carrie?  Is that you?”  He managed to say while he wiped the sleep from his eyes.

“Justin Randall Timberlake!  I fly 3 hours to see you, and that’s the greeting I get?”  Carrie asked trying to act insulted.

Justin simply grinned and began walking toward her.  “Sorry” he muttered before his lips captured hers in a possessive kiss.

“Justin!  We are in the middle of a hallway.  Nobody’s suppose to know about us, remember?”

Justin sighed and nodded his head.

“Speaking of our secret relationship,” she giggled, “How goes things with Britney?  Has she stopped hitting on you, or am I going to have to have another talk with her?”

Remembering the ‘talk’ Carrie had had with Britney, Justin erupted into a hearty laugh.  “Don’t worry she remembers she’s only my publicity girlfriend.  The scar above her eye is a great reminder.  Man, you have no idea how much I’ve missed you, Carrie.”  Justin stated before he lowered his head to kiss her once again.  His hand slowly stroked her long curly brown hair while his tongue entwined with hers.

“Justin,” Carrie groaned, “let’s go into your hotel room.”

Justin quickly pulled away to look into her brown eyes. “Are you sure?  We don’t have to.”  he softly whispered.

“I’m positive” she said as she grabbed his hand and led him back into his hotel room.  She placed a 'do not disturb' sign on the door, and slowly closed the door.

“Justin are you there?”  Carrie asked worried into the phone.

“Carrie, please tell me you didn’t just say what I think you said! I'll give you anything if you'll just say that you're joking.  Please, say you’re not pregnant,” Justin frantically cried.

He could hear her crying on the other end.  “I’m so sorry, Justin.  I'm scared.  What are we going to do?  I’m only 21 and still in college.”

Justin sat staring at the wall, unsure of what to do.  “Look honey, I have to go.  I don’t know what we’re going to do.  Just don’t worry.  Bye,” Justin soothed before he hung up his cell phone.  "How could this happen?  I can’t handle this.  I can’t be a dad!"  Justin cried to his reflection.

Suddenly a knock sounded at the door, and JC, Joey, Lance, and Chris walked into the room.  JC was the first to notice Justin’s appearance.  “Hey man, what’s wrong? You look horrible.”

“Thanks Jace.  Something's really wrong.  I guess I can tell you guys; it affect y'all too.  How do I say this...Carrie’s pregnant,” Justin sighed.  The four once happy faces turned grave in mere seconds.

“What are you going to do,” Lance asked after a few minutes of silence.

Justin shrugged.  “I don't know.  I can’t be a dad. Not now.”

Joey looked at Justin disgustingly; “Oh and Carrie can be a mom right now? I'm sure that's fair.  There were two of you in that room if you don't remember.”

Justin was taken aback at Joey sudden hostility.  “I know what you're saying, but what about the group?  I can’t be a dad and be in Nsync.”

“Yes, you can.  Look at Joey. He’s a great father to Bri, and you have all of us to help you out,” Chris said finally joining the conversation.

“What about the press?  They’ll eat this up.  I’m not suppose to be a father this young. Hell, I’m suppose to be a virgin. I think they’ll figure out that I’m not that innocent.  This could ruin my image.  Oh, then there’s the fact that I’m suppose to be dating Britney” Justin complained in one breath.

The guys all stood around him.  “Look Justin, I think I speak for all of us when I say that this is more important.  Our fans will understand, you’re an adult, and with the whole Britney thing I guess you guys just broke up.  Everyone will understand, and if they don't, then they don't matter.  You have to be there for Carrie, so stop being selfish,” JC said.

The other guys nodded their agreement.

“You're right as always.  Thank you, guys.  I would ask for a group hug, but I have to call Carrie. She probably thinks I’m a run-away dad,” Justin chuckled.  One by one, JC, Joey, Lance, and Chris offered their congratulations and exited the room to give Justin his privacy.  ‘Here goes everything’ Justin sighed as he dialed Carrie’s number.

“Hello?” she asked as soon as she picked up.

“It’s me. Before you say anything, I just wanted to let you know that I talked it over with the guys and...god, Carrie! We’re going to be parents!”

Carrie chuckled at his tone.  “You don’t say, Justin.  Look, I’ve decided to leave college, and be a full-time mom.  My parent's will help me.  I know you have to tour and everything, but it’d be nice if you visited us once and awhile” She choked up at the last part, trying hard not to cry.

“That's what I wanted to talk to you about.  I want to be a...” Justin paused trying to think of the perfect word “full-time dad.”

*2 years later*

“Justin?” Carrie whispered as she walked into the nursery.  Justin slowly set his daughter in her crib, which Britney had given to her.  He tip-toed out the door and motioned for Carrie to do the same.  After she shut the door, he pulled her close to him and kissed her.

“Last time we kissed in a hallway, we got Julia,” Carrie softly reminded.

“I know.  You don't forget one the greatest moments of your life.  I love you, Mrs. Timberlake” Justin softly cooed as he guided her to their bedroom.
