| To Joey To Joey, the one who taught me to pick up girls, When Nsync started, you were eighteen years old. You were still working at Universal, yet you still made yourself stay awake at night to practice with us. I guess you were practicing on how we would be sleeping later in life, right? All that hard work paid off, only to be ruined in the long run. But hey, shit happens. No matter what anyone says, I lost our career. It was me. I was the one who got Becka pregnant, and I was the one who told the press that I was getting married, because of a baby. And I'm sure that you are blaming yourself, but don't. Please don't. It was never your fault. Joey, do you remember, on my eighteenth birthday, you and Lance took me out to a club in Louisiana? And it turned out to be a gay bar? Turned out to be a bad mess didn't it? But that was dropped because there, a bar is a bar. Just a hang out for people to go whether or not they were gay. I think that's where the rumors about you and Lance being lovers started. No offense, Joe, but I always figured that you would be the one who ended up with a kid. Not me. But everybody makes mistakes right? No one's perfect. I just never thought of me being a father. I don't think that anyone else did either. By the way, do you think that it was a little extreme to name Jordan after 'you-know-who'? I'm sorry for making fun of you, Joey. You were always the butt of our jokes. You were just easy to make fun of. I know that you didn't mind, but I'm sure that somewhere deep inside you, you wanted to get back at us. Yet you never did. I really am sorry. You can make fun of me now if you want. I don't care anymore. I have so much to say thank-you to you for, Joe. You showed me how to really live, even though it backfired. You knew how to party, and how to find good parties. You could easily pick up girls. And you could sing. And you knew it too. You knew what was needed to know in life. You found the woman that I am married to today and I deeply appreciate that. I don't love her like I should. But she gave me Jordan. You're one of the greatest people in the world. Don't ever give up on singing. There aren't many voices like yours in the world today. And with your voice, you destined to stay singing. I love you, Joey. Don't forget it. I say thank-you once more, for showing me everything that you did. I'll never forget it. Your old band mate, Justin Timberlake |
