Chapter Six |
"D-did you...d-did you see the look on his face?" JC said between fits of laughter. "Dude he was like...pissin his pants...oh Johnny please, please dont let the mean girl hurt me Johnny pleeeeeeease." Chris shreiked in a woman like voice, rolling all over his bed. "That was a great idea Chris, you my man are a genius." Joey smiled high fiving his friend. "Yea, my favorite part was when Johnny said "be a man and live with it." My coke almost flew out my nose!" Lance laughed. Hearing the door open and shut in the other room caused the four men to stop laughing. Justin entered the bedroom red faced. It looked like he had been crying. "You guys are a bunch of assholes!" Justin yelled. "Don't you know anything about respect?? Don't you respect other peoples personal lives??" "Funny shouldn't we be asking you the same question Justin?" Chris smirked. "We're sick of you're shit, and as much as you dont like to think so there are four other members in this group and we're sick and tired of your hissy fits and you always having to have your way. So live with it. Feel what its like on the other side." "Yea, J you're like my good friend and all but you need to come down out of the clouds. You're a person not a god." Lance replied seriously. "Well what am I supposed to do now? I cant work with Crystal...no no no no...you guys dont know ok? You just dont know." "Well like they say Justin...be a man and live with it." Joey added. Justin stormed out of the room followed by a roar of laughter from the guys. "I'll call her, that's what I'll do, I'll call her and tell her it was all a mistake and there's no room for her this year." He quickly whipped out his cell phone but quickly realized he didnt have her new number. Damn. He paused for a minute and thought. Then he remembered, his mother had the number! That was it! He quickly dialed the oh so familiar digits. "Hello?" Lynn answered. "Hi Mom." Justin said. "Oh hi sweetie. How are you? Are they working you too hard?" She asked him innocently. Chris had called her earlier and said she might be getting a call from her son regarding Crystal. She was totally in on the game. As much as she loved her son she agreed that he needed some attitude adjusting, and he also needed to regain his relationship with Crystal. What those two had was too special to be ignored. "Yea I was wondering if you could give me Crystal's new number, I kinda misplaced it and I really need to talk to her about something." He said charmingly. He was so good at sweettalking. "No Justin." Justin scrunched his face into a confused tone. "Ma, what do you mean no?" "You're not getting your way this time Justin. I'm making sure of that." Lynn sighed. It killed her to make her son angry. But she knew in the end he would be thankful. He always was. "Wait a sec...did Chris call you because..." "Justin it doesnt matter who called who about what and when. The answer is no. I'll call you later sweetheart. Dont work to hard." She hung up. Justin stared back at his phone in disbelief. This was going way too far. This was bad. Very, very bad. His own Mother was in on this! Just as he was losing all hope of a great tour a flame sparked in his brain. He remembered the itinerary saying something about workers not living up to their abilities or something. He quickly grabbed his backpack and pulled his itinerary out of it. There it was right in ink, why hadnt he thought of this earlier? If in fact the person(s) listed cannot complete the tasks assigned to him/her that person will be removed and replaced immediately. Crystal wouldnt be completing anything. He would make sure of that. *********************** Three days later It seemed like it was twenty miles to her gate at Miami International. Crystal sighed when she finally reached it, plopping her bags down on the floor and plopping herself into a chair. Her shrink had been so proud of her when Crystal had said she accepted a job with TransContinental. She said it was a really big step and there were only bright things ahead for her. Crystal couldn't help but be nervous. She hadnt see Justin since that day at the hospital, and she hadnt seen the rest of the group since before everything had happened to her. She hoped she would live up to their expectations as Events Coordinator. She was going to try really hard, she really wanted to have a normal life, but with Justin there to guide her she knew everything would work out. Or so she thought. When she had last spoken with Johnny Wright he had said that since she was going to be Justin's personal assistant Justin would meet her at the airport and the two of them would fly to Germany together and meet everyone there. She was thrilled. It would really give them the chance to talk about everything. There was so much she wanted to tell him about. She wanted to bear her soul to him, so she could finally be able to sleep at night. Finally after all this time, she would be able to be happy again. ****** Justin Timberlake finally reach his gate after what seemed to be about a twenty mile hike. He looked around for the mutilated looking girl with the ratty hair, but she was nowhere to be found. He thought he could see someone that looked like her about ten feet in front of him, but that couldnt be her could it? He approached her slowly. That hair, that golden brown hair. That familiar smell came rushing back to him the second he got close enough. It was her. She was beautiful. No wait, she wasnt beautiful, she couldn't be beautiful to him anymore. "Hey!" Crystal exclaimed jumping out of her chair. She wrapped her arms around him, embracing him tightly. He didnt stop her. But he didnt return her embrace either. "Um..hi." Justin replied quietly rubbing the back of his neck. Crystal had totally changed since the last time he had seen her. She had gained a few more pounds, making her look healthier and not bone thin like she had been. She had also gotten a great tan. She looked fantastic, but Justin wouldnt let his feelings show. He couldnt. He needed to get rid of her. He didnt need any distractions on this tour. This tour could be the groups way into the Billboards in the US. Thats what he was praying for, that was what he had been working so hard for all this time. Crystal stood back and looked him over. Justin had changed quite a bit since the last time she had seen him. His hair was dyed platinum bleach blond, and he was alot more muscular. He was dressed in a baby blue North Carolina tank top with matching shorts and a pair of white Nikes with baby blue swish marks. "Why are you staring at me?" Justin asked coldly. "Am I not up to your standards or something?" he sneered. "Whoa were is this coming from J? I just haven't seen you in so long that..." Crystal began, a little confused. "Ok lets just get a couple of things straightened out here," he snapped, cutting her speech short. "My friends call me J. You work for me. You can call me Justin or Mr. Timberlake. Take your pick. But I dont tollerate nick names from employees, got it?" Crystal stared at him coldly. Wasn't he the one that wanted her here in the first place? Where was all this coming from? "What are you talking about Justin? In the letter I got in the mail you said you were sorry for everything and that you really wanted me here and stuff. Maybe I'm stupid but I just dont get why you would say that and then start treating me like I'm some kind of minority?" "Because I didnt fucking say it thats why!" Justin said harshly. "If you are stupid enought to believe that I actually wanted you here you are sadly mistaken. Chris set this whole thing up to get back at me because he knew I didnt want you here. So you're best bet is to just quit while your ahead Crystal before you get hurt." Justin said nearly pressing his face against hers. It was only a matter of time now. The tears were going to come pouring down and she was going to leave and everything would be just how he wanted it to be. He waited, but the tears never came. "You know what J...I'm really sorry that you got fucked over ok? But I am going on this tour whether you like it or not. I'm not giving up my happiness for you." Crystal replied angrily. Justin stood back and stared at her in shock. He didnt know what to say. He had no idea that this was how she was going to react. "But...but.." he stuttered "Awww...the poor baby didn't get his way? Too fucking bad Justin. And what?s all this bullshit about me not calling you J...like I've never met you before in my life? You have a hell of a nerve. Jesus you have you gotten your head stuck so far up your ass that you can't hear yourself when you talk? I feel really sorry for you J. Really sorry that you take everything for granted. You have so much. Everyone loves you. You can sing. You have a great family and great friends. The Justin I remember wasnt like this. What happened J, what happened to him?" Crystal said, wiping away the tears that were beginning to form in her eyes. But she wasn't crying because she was upset at his words to her. She was crying because the guy she used to know, the sweet, kind, and gentle Justin was gone and she didn't think he was ever coming back. "He left a long time ago." Justin replied softly. He pulled his sunglasses out of his pocket and quickly slipped them over his eyes so Crystal wouldnt be able to see the tears of humiliation and sadness that were beginning to form there. Lord what had he gotten himself into now? |
