Dad is the father of Ken Nakajima. The two men share the same general looks and the same talent for racing motorcycles, but the elder Nakajima is far more outgoing than the younger. He is the quintessential “racer”—a brash adrenaline junkie who is larger than life in almost everything he does. He has a successful professional racing career behind him and currently lives in semi-retirement. He is a treasured and much-admired member of the "extended family" of the Bokuto officers.
Dad first came to the attention of Bokuto Station officers when a mysterious motorcyclist, whose style was similar to Ken’s approach, started harassing the them. Eventually, he zeroed in on Miyuki and Natsumi and when apprehended revealed that he was testing the mettle of who he hoped would be his son’s future wife. Later, the officers helped pave the way for Dad’s marriage to a second wife, Sera, who is 1/3rd his age and even younger than Ken himself!

“The Fox” is a figure of mystery who seems to appear whenever a new officer is assigned to the Bokuto station. He drives a highly modified, bright red classic ERA Turbo—with modifications that rival even those Miyuki might conceive and try to impliment—and he speeds around the neighborhoods served by the station, challenging the rookies to catch him. When Miyuki and Natsumi become partners, he not only breaks every traffic law on the books while daring them to pursue him, but he issues taunts and a bomb threat to them over police radio frequencies!
The Fox is secretly Oshuu, the senior priest at a temple not far from the station house. He was the mentor of the Captain, and, while he has long since retired from the police force, he still keeps watch over the officers by offering advice and support as Oshuu, while helping to forge bonds between newly formed partnerships by giving them a common foe: the Fox.
