After my 3rd year in college I drove from Portugal to Luxemburg and stayed there also for 6 months, where I was working in a hotel in the finance department. Luxemburg is a nice city but it is too small. The good thing is that is very close to Paris and Amsterdam (those trips to Amsterdam would fill another web page by themselves...) After that, and after a small stop in Cuba, I went back to the Algarve, where I did a serious of summer jobs to pay for my studies... from hotel receptionist, passing by a Timeshare salesman, and a barman... Once you start to travel, you can never stop! It is like a bug that starts to bite your ass, once you stayed in the same place for 2 long! That is when I came to Ireland, for personal and professional reasons. And here I am now... for over 2 years. It is a good country to live and have fun and I have to say... can these Irish drink!! I guess they are in general all good people! Next stop? Well.. as Fernando Pessoa, a Portuguese poet said once: |
Hello and welcome to my page. My little space on the WWW. Originally I created this page as a way to store photographs so I can see then anywhere I am. At the moment, its a way to comunicate with my family in Portugal and friends everywhere about my lastest news and events. For those who dont know me, my name is Nuno and I come from Portugal. I'm 26 and I was born in Porto, which is the second biggest city of Portugal with around 1 million people. At the age of 18 I went on a big trip to Portimão (Praia da Rocha) in the Algarve (southern region of Portugal) to study in the University of the Algarve. It was there where I took my degree... Bachelors in Tourism and Masters in Marketing. Those were the best 6 years of my life so far... the Algarve is a very nice place to study! In the middle of my course I manage to get a scholarship to study in England. 6 months in Plymouth in the Erasmus Program. |

My dream at the moment is to travel arround for a all year. 2004 will be that year if i manage to save enough money for it! I would like to start traveling in Eastern Europe (Romania. Bulgaria, Ukraine, etc, etc) and then follow to India and then just travel throughout Asia (India, Nepal, China, Vietnam, South Korea, Malasya, Thailand, East Timor, Macau, etc) for as must time possible (or most likely... until I ran out of money)! Money, a big car, a nice house, a good paycheck at the end of the month. This is the definition of a good life according to our "west standards". One of the things I remember sometimes is to enjoy the pleasure of an uncomplicated kind of life, with no schedules, no TV, where you can really be at peace with yourself and where seeing the sun rising every day can always overwhelm you. That is what I call good life according to my standards!! I guess that is what I have to say about me! |
