| These cobalt bits are made from M42 steel- which consists of cobalt, molybdenum, tungsten, and vanadium high speed steel- that gives high hardness coupled with red hardness characteristics. These bits are designed for drilling high tensile alloys, high nickel stainless steels, and other hard to machine metals. They all have a self-centering, self-starting, 135o split point, and are jobber length. The set comes in a sturdy metal index manufactured in the U.S. by Huot Manufactering.
