JANUARY 1809 FRENCH TURN

The Grande Armee fans out across the Austrian countryside and goes into winter quarters. Napoleon arrives in Munich on his way back to France to celebrate his victory over the Austrians.

Davout crushes the English presence in Hannover and forcibly returns the country back into the Napoleonic orbit.

The French and Spain withdraw from Oporoto with Pallofox leaving the country altogether. French reinforcements begin marching westward toward the Pyrennes.
