As Brooke and I were flying commercially back from Chicago after visiting my youngest biological sister who had a brain aneurysm, Nick and the kids were flying home in our little plane.  The week flew by since Brooke and I were in Chicago.  Nick and I both called the kids every night before they went to bed to talk a while.  Their foster mom said they really look forward to our phone calls.  We worked a lot with the kids this week.  We did way too much to write down.  We went to the pool, the kids attended Bible school at our church, we rode the horses, went to the park and registered them for school.  Brendan will be in all day kindergarten and wants to play soccer. Tori will be in preschool two mornings a week and take ballet. We have been working with the kids on their new last name especially Brendan since he will need to learn how to write his name in Kindergarten.  We talked to the kids and have decided to change their middle names.  Victoria Bea after me and my mom's deceased twin sister Bea.  She was a special aunt to me and everyone says we were so much alike even though I was adopted.  Brendan's middle name will be Wesley after Nick and his dad.  Tori can't say her K's very good so she says Tori Tellar.  It's adorable!!  Brendan also learned how to tie his shoes.  We had a few time outs also but overall, they are wonderful, polite and well behaved children with much credit due to their foster parents.  We had a busy week and we flew them home on the 7th of August.  That went fine also.  We have been busy all week this week getting their room finished and organized.  It has been so nice to have such wonderful friends and family through all this who have given clothes, shoes, and toys to our kids.  Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers and support.  The kids will move in permanently this Saturday August 14th.  Please pray for us, the kids and their foster parents as this will be a big emotional adjustment for us all.  As for our overseas adoption, we will no longer pursue it.  God gave us these two little angels right here in Kansas and so when we are ready for more children, we will do the same again.  Yes, I would still like at least one more!  We feel so lucky and blessed to have these two little ones in our family!
