AmbientBackhoe is an experimental "open architecture" publishing project. To publish a poem in AB one simply renders what you choose to identify as a 'poem' and places it on a webpage of your own making. The web page can be as simple or as interactive-multimedia as you like. Once you have written your poem and set up your webpage, you simply email AB a link to the one page site containing your poem. Once I have posted your link on AB, you are 100% published in AmbientBackhoe - The world's first deconstructed (for want of a better term) publication for poetry. Also, when the next person submits a link to their poem, I will email you the link to their page, which you must then place on your webpage. The pages of AmbientBackhoe thus will be all the individual web pages which have been submitted - and the reader will be able to read the 'volume' by proceeding from one individual's page to the next. AB will also keep a "master page" with links to all the poems in the volume.
Requirements: 1. the poem site must be one web page only. 2. the web page must link back to AmbientBackhoe, and link to the next poem. (I will send the link after receiving the next submission). 3. if you would like to include biographical, photo,\contact information and\or link to a homepage, etc, email the information, and it will be made available from the AB site.
That's all there is to it. This is an "open architecture" publication because, although verification will be made that there is an existing webpage & poem, there will be no evaluation of 'submissions.' Anyone who sends a link to their poem/page and places correct links their poem site is automatically published - with all rights & privileges appertaining thereto - which as we know are none, except of course that you will have a post-modern publishing credit (think about it, how else would you get one?).* Anyway, I did say it was experimental...
*..The 'publisher' does reserve the right to not include material deemed offensive. |
