> The Strokes @ the 4th and B in San Diego on 3rd Feb '02 (thanks and big hugs to Izzy for the review and pics written and taken by her...Izzy that is.) i left for the show from LA at about 2:30 got there at about 4:30..... we went & got food & headed for the 4th & B..... when we got there, we decided to sit in the car & listen to the radio because they were playing the strokes live from Saturday in LA.....we were behind the place were the bus & backstage were.... first we saw Nikolai walk in the venue, then Nick.......so we decided to go over there to get pics, autographs & what not..... Albert came out & signed autographs & took pics with us....he was soo sweet..... the Fab & Nickolai came out & did the same.....i only got a pic with Nickolai though..... we saw Julian walk in the place, but he didnt stop to say hi or anything...... Nick came out after & he was asking all of us there if we were local, he signed autographs & took pics....... after we waited forever Julian never came out & met with fans, so we went inside..... we got about 5 people back from the center front of the stage..... the show was cool, the first guy was soooo funny.....but i dont think people liked him very much....... the second band kicked ass.......... when the Strokes came out the crowd went crazy.....i couldnt see......& i took as many good pictures i could get...... Julian lost his voice plus he was way drunk......he didnt sing very well....he had people from he opening shows sing songs for him..... i left the floor after being pushed & pulled...... when i sat at the bleachers a bunch of people were yelling "Julian you suck", "you guys need a new singer" & stuff like that......it was pretty sad.... i left the show after Last Night because it was crazy..... i went in the back hoping i could get a pic with Julian when the show was over..... me & a whole crowd of people were waiting for about an hour, when Julian came out he could barely walk, he had some guy holding him up......& they went straight for the bus... Albert was standing outside the front of the bus with his Kermit the Frog signing autographs & taking Pictures again.....Nikolai went out there also....... Albert seemed the most friendly & excited meeting with all his fans...... he made my day! "thats my story & i'm sticking to it!" -Izzy.
