Holy shit could the strokes end on a better fucking note??? i think not!! this song is perfect to end on. Coz its cool. and the title is take it or leave. duh. It pretty much sums up the whole feel of the album. you've been on this rock and roll, punk and arty journey through melodies and basslines and thready drums, crackling vocals, spontaneous ape-shit-ness, blatent not-giving-a-fuck-ness, total and complete knowlegde of music and how to make people feel something and change their mood, and then they just kinda go "yeah...so that its, we're done, this is what we do, fuckin take it or leave it". Oh and take it i say, fuckin TAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh i love it. it's cheeky and still does not give said fuck at all. this song teaches you about the band but it's not like a filler or out of place, it fits perfectly and is a damn good song on its own right. I mean its individual and on its own frigging rocks and probably has a different feel to it, but when fitted into the album where it is, you totally understand the band and music in a way, and the way the band see music and what they're doing, and you kinda thing "ooooh, i get it".....but quite frankly, you don't and neither do i. so just take and listen to it and love it. thats all you can do.
