This page begins with the married couple Jeremiah H. Weldon Sr. and Mary Bartelson.
Some say the ancestry of Jeremiah goes back to a marriage of one of the Mayflower descendants, but I can't prove that yet. Jeremiah's great-grandson, Woodruff Weldon,
married Hannah Hoffner; thus began this branch of the Whilden/Weldon family.
Some of the information about Jeremiah's descendants was found at LDS Family Search
as a complete ancestral file. We have yet to document its accuracy ourselves,
but we trust it enough to include it here.

This family in rich in history and mystery: there are sailors, preachers
and Cherokee in the stories. I have only begun to scratch the surface.

whose generous collaboration and support have been most helpful.
