Show information for June 20, 2009 The Central club was established in 1933. This year we areCelebrating 76 years of camaraderie andguidance for goat owners throughout the center of the state.Current membership extends east to Herkimer County west to Ontario , north to Oswego and south to Cortland Among our members we have 8 that have been honored withLife Membership as well as 5 youth members, the goatkeepers of the future. The club sponsors an annual show in June, a picnic each JulyOr August, a monthly newsletter and meeting with potluckFamily luncheon held the 4th Sunday of the month at 1pm .We host a holiday gathering each November or December,with a local food drive and matching gift of a goat to HeiferInternational. Our lending library has extensive materialsavailable on loan to members, and we “promote the goat” eachSeptember at Beaver Lake CNYDGS is the sponsor of the Carolyn E. Funk MemorialScholarship for members or immediate family. Dues are $7 annually, plus $5 per additional familymember, payable to Treasurer Carol Frey (6212 LakeshoreRd., Cicero , NY 13039

The
scholarship committee of the CNYDGS announces that a minimum of two (2) $500.00
scholarships will be available in 2008 for full-time college study. The Carolyn E. Funk Memorial Scholarships
have been established for members or direct family of such members of the CNYDGS
or NYSDGBA. Applications for the 2008
