Gold

Time on my hands
Nothing to do
But reminisce about
Honeycomb locks and
Delicate hands with tiny wrist
That played me like piano
Tarantula eyes
That spun webs to
Catch me in your gaze
Silk pillow lips that I could
Close my eyes and dream against
Your voice lingers in my brain like THC
"You be looking at me like
Come get it
So I be looking at you like
Here I come"
Arms around my waist
In an embrace that said
I know you don't want to go
So just stay
You made me scream
Like I’d caught Holy Spirit
We knew we were disturbing neighbors
But they never complained
The water from the shower
Beaded on your skin
With elfish magic
Ever since you went away
I've had psychological diabetes
And low blood sugar
Just the thought of you
Makes my insides instant pudding
I just wanna
Grab you and kiss you
And make you mine
Fell in love with
The gingerbread man
Not denim love
That fades and frays
But golden love
That stays and stays
Gonna build a house with it
And wait for the glaze
To bring him back home
