Poetic Portrait
An adult situation
On an adolescent night
Past young
But not yet old news
Had me crawl to you
Between the dusk Ōtil dawn
And beg your pardon
Cause every little girl
Wants to be a princess
Deep down inside
And I canÕt get you
Off of my mind
Body soul adventures of the
3rd Kind
Eye heart you
And me
Forget your momma
And your cousins too
My sweet soul brotha
So into one another
That itÕs like a lid
I got ya covered
Hunny drippinÕ caramel
Some days spoon
Sometimes make it to the moon
And get cheesy with our bread
Trying to buy sunshine with rain
But just getting more of the same
Wet day dreams
Moonlight for extra cheddar
Monsters shadow box on the wall
And I fall to pieces
Cause reality hits hard
Fact of the matter is
IÕll never stop loving you
Even as our matter dissolves
Back into the universe
Our essence will expand
Around it
Finally making two one
Black hole sun
Through the warm hole
And out the belly button
You know how to handle me
And I know what ya like
Sugar and spice
EverythingÕs nice
I taste just like candy
Washed down with a
Strawberry milkshake
And an after dinner mint
On your pillow
Relax itÕs gonna get bumpy
But thatÕs just part of the ride
Climb inside
And spelunk the depths
Of my concave
Shave and a mascot
ThatÕs all that she offers
To the boys at the bar
Who want a little off the top
Too much time wasted with stylist
Makes a realist too expansive
Someone with room to grow
Old together forever
Stories make fantasies feel real
But pixy dust gets in my eyes
And makes shiny tears drop
From my cheek bones
Leaving comet tails on my smile
On a clear day you can see
Forever seems less than far
When you look at the stars
And try to add up the universe
Multiplied or rather divided
By time travel of light speed
Over easy scrambled hard
Lost in translation
Stranger things have happened
Between 1984 and 99 bottles
Bringing down walls
The world keeps drifting between us
But as the world turns
I fall deeper into you
Drowning in your juices
Exclusive
You and me
One when youÕre
Counting in twoÕs
Abuse the right to
Pursue happiness
With me
Just us
