Body of Light

Dim light through
Dark clouds falls
Rain drops getting in my eyes
I close them to
Take away the sting
Angels dropping down
When I look again
Wings like snowflakes
Melt on my skin
Coat me with lotion
For the arid wind
Hurricane in the desert
Oasis of chaos
Trouble within
With a call like a war cry
I become a tornado
To suck up wet sand
And build palaces
On my occipital lobe
Cause castles made of sand
Do fall into the see eventually
And I need to visualize royalty
Nomadic tendencies
Cause me to wander
I’m always in the middle of here
Nowhere to be found
Not lost but searching
For what I’ve found already
Cause wherever I go
There I am
It’s like I’m trying to
Lose myself in order to
Find me again
Pain
Like peeling away
My cerebrum with the
Cranial nerves still plugged in
Never lose sight of self
I watch my shadow
As though it were proof of life
And study my reflection to
Make sure I’m really here
Cause dim light
Through dark clouds falls
With precipitation of angels
Puddling at my feet
As I wander through
Desert lands causing the
Winds of change to
Strip my perception and
Melt me to the bone
In order to build me up again
Make muscle fiber out of love
Give my cardiovascular a rhythmic beat with harmonies
Train my lymphatic system to
Engage in war with the
Cold and damp that
Threatens to invade my
Sunny disposition
Lay nerve tracks to better navigate
The rugged terrain of
Life’s wilderness
Put a little conflict resolution in my glands
To lubricate my actions and impulses
Fill my lungs with patience
My digestion with intuition
Drop a little clarity in the urinary
And some vitality in the sexuality
Inject my immune system with wisdom
And wrap me in virtue
To keep it all in
Sprinkle universe in my skin
Dye my epidermis the color of nature
To help me adapt to my environment
They call it spiritual development
But with an architect like God
All you really need is
Restoration excavation
Cause angels fall where rain used to
And I am becoming
Like sunrise becomes day
Queen becomes Empress
Boy becomes man
Prodigy becomes genius
Seed becomes fruit becomes seed
Becomes me
Becomes we
Anatomy of a sinner
Trying to become a saint
