Words

I drizzle lyrical
Orange blossom honey
On my tongue
And let it
Drip from my bottom lip
And drop between my
Bosoms as I breathe deeply
And spit
Water balloon words at you
To declare mental war
On your senses
They drench you with wisdom
And enter you in the
Wet tee-shirt contest of
Philosophical thought
You are naked and trembling
And I am winning
You see I
Respect the words
And they fall into line
After line after...
So on and so on
And I can
Massage you cerebellum
With my tongue
YouÕd like that
WouldnÕt you
I can smooth out your
Cerebral wrinkles until
All you know
Is the shape of my
Psyche
And the color of my imagination
As I paint you with inspiration
Then leave you in sweet antici-
Pation
The depth of my persuasion
Will drown even
The hardest opposition
In my sweet juices of satisfaction
Already
IÕve got you mind wandering
And all IÕve said
Is words
Stop
Breathe
It ain't over
ItÕs only just begun
IÕd like nothing better
Than to play your spinal cord
Like harp strings
And make beautiful music
With your nervous system
Relax
DonÕt blink -
Caught ya
SlippinÕ on this vocal slide
Vocab, anti-
Anti...
Antidisestablishmentarianism
Ism, ism, ism
The words are bleeding
From my ears like
Severe head trauma
I keep knocking my head
On the glass ceilings
And every time I break one
Another magically appears
To replace it
All I want to do
Is kiss the sun
And learn to spit fire
So they can call me
Mount Saint Heaven
When I die
Oh what a beautiful word
I live in
Like crystal waterfall
Like black lace spider web
Like each moment in time
Like each casual rhyme
Like down by the riverside
Like touch me as the morning does
Gradually with increasing brilliance
But do not fade away
If you must leave
Do so as a star does
Supernova
So that each singed artifact
Can become a living monument
To the radiance that has since
Burned out and
I shall never leave you
So long as I occupy
Your mind
And still
I have said nothing
But a clever assemblage
Of words
