WHY WE LIKE HER: Shelli's sincere sweetness immediately put us at ease. She's down to earth - definately no user - and is currently pursuing her own career goals as a makeup artist in Los Angeles.
WHY YOU SHOULD LOVE HER: Shelli provides lots of inspiration for those of us who have been a little discouraged from achieving our goals at one time or another. While she admits she put her own dreams on the back burner during her relationship with Ashley, she has motivated herself to go after what she wants and couldn't be happier. Also, despite their last breakup, which was also caught on camera thanks to the wonders of reality television, Shelli continues to support Ashley and his popstar career.
OVERHEARD: "When I lived in Redding, I felt like I didn't have a life anymore without Ashley," confides Shelli. "When he left, it devestated my entire life, I wasn't the same person anymore. Picking up and leaving took a lot. I spent six months before I left saving and saving for everything I knew I would need. I pretty much went down there empty-handed." Shelli's hand-to-mouth experience was a real trial for her. "I had a place to stay for one month and it was a struggle, but at the same time there were so many opportunities that you just don't know are out there because you choose not to see them. Everything that has happened for me has been because of the drive I had inside myself. Without that, I would still be in Redding and unhappy. I feel that making that change for myself turned my whole life around."
