March 21-22, 2001
Ok, March 21st was our 3rd concert in Charlotte, NC. So we go to the concert and my sister and Miranda get to meet Lugo and take pics. And they see O-Towns bus and go over to it and they can see inside it and Miranda sees Jake kiss Janie. Awww And I had this lil dog thing with a letter taped too it that I was going to throw up onto the stage but I didn’t want to cause I really wanted him to get the letter. (didn't really care about the dog.) But Miranda gave it to the bus driver and she saw him hand it to Jake so I was excited to hear about that. But I didn’t get do the Lugo thing cause after the concert my other friend and I took her b/f home. Well while we are gone we decide we are going to talk Miranda into leaving that night for our next
concert in Norfolk VA on the 22nd. So she says ok, after much persuasion. And we leave and the 3 of us drive ALLLLLL night long!!! Well we finally get up to Norfolk and we go to the venue first off just to see where it is. And we have hotel reservations so we are going to find the venue and then go to the hotel to take showers and then go stand in line all day again. Well we pass the venue and see the Radisson and we see the bus there so we are like JACKPOT!!! So we go to the gas station and try to freshen up and then go back to the Radisson and WAIT FOR EVER!!!!!!!! At least 3 or 4 hours. We are sitting in the car the whole time waiting on them to come out and then
these girls pull up beside us and hold up the YM with the guys on the front and they are like are you looking for these guys? And we are like uh yeah. So she tells us the guys wouldn’t be coming out to the bus cause the venue was like RIGHT up the street (which thank God it was, cause what happened later wouldn’t have happened if it was too far, but I will get to that later) So we follow her and park at the mall right across from the venue and we get out and get in line with them. They were first in line, so we are happy we made these new friends. So anyways, we are talking with them and we say we are going to get a room at the Radisson and cancel our other one
cause we think that O-Town will be staying there that night. So we all go back up there and try to get enough money up for the room, which is WAY more expensive than the one we were going to stay at. So we try to get it and we end up not being able to cause of the credit card. So the girls are like, well you guys can just use our shower and we are like OMG thank you so much! Cause at this point it was like noon and we hadn’t showered since like that time the day before and we had been up all night and to a concert!! (THIS IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD) So we go take our showers and go back down and get in the car and start driving down the street and Miranda goes "OMG THAT'S ASHLEY!!" Yep, Ash is walking down the street ALONE. He is walking towards us and is on his phone. We hear him say, well I will talk to you later, bye. And he walks up to us and is like “Hey” and we are like hey Ashley and he hugs. Then we are walking with him to our car and he stops at the car and we talk to him and we are telling him how we have been to 4 shows and how awesome they are and all that. And he is like OMG I love you guys, thank you so much. And I am like well thank you cause we wouldn't do it unless you rocked so much ya know. And he was sooo looking into our eyes when we were talking to him. He has amazing eyes too. So we are like, we just got a room at the Radisson so we could stay at the same place as you and maybe hang out with you later. And we ask him if they are staying the night there and he is like DUDE!!! NO!!! Go get your money back, Really, they will let you do it I have done it before. So we are all laughing cause that was just funny. He said they were flying out after the concert to go to NYC to shoot the All or Nothing video. And we are like ok.....but we wanted to hang out with you. And he is like yeah I would love to hang out with you guys too. And he was like you wanna hang out right now? And we are like Umm yeah sure. So he says well I am on the way to the sound check right now but I can get you guys meet and greet passes and we are like OMG for real?? And he give us this piece of paper and tells us to write down our names and stuff so we can be on the list. So we do and he is still saying how he loves us and thanking us for going to so many shows. And he is sooooo sincere!!!!! I am falling in love. So yeah then he hugs us 2 more times and gives us kisses on the cheek. My heart melted!!!!!! And when he hugged us, you could hear him smell us. Thank GOD we had just taken showers!!!! So he is like backing away and telling us thanks again and to ask the woman about our names being on the list and he said he would see us later. So we get in the car and scream and are like OMG we just met AShley!!!!!!!!!!! So we drive on down to the venue and blow the horn as we pass him and he waves. So we get to the parking thing and go get in line and tell everyone all about it and we are sooo happy. *Forgot to add this* But anyways, Miranda makes some comment about him not wearing that blue shirt that he ALWAYS wears. She said that EVERY TIME we see them he is wearing that blue shirt and he is like “Um well I have like 5 of the same one and being on tour you cant really do laundry” and blah blah blah and he looks at me and I give him this look like YEAH RIGH! and he just looks at me with this sheepish look. It was too cute. So we go get in line and we are ALL PSYCHED cause we got meet and greet passes. So time rolls around for when the meet and greet list is supposed to be out and we aren’t on it. So we are like are you SURE cause, Ashley put us on the list HIMSELF. And the woman is like well there is another list coming so we are like oh ok....So anyways, the woman comes down and starts calling names for the meet and greet and we aren’t on it. So we are talking to her and she believes us that we were on it but says there is nothing she can do. And then our friend goes up to her and is talking to her and she starts crying and the woman tells her that ONLY she can go in. So we are like ok, cause we are happy for her and all. Well a couple minutes later we are like OH SHIT!! She has our tickets in her pocket so we go up to the lady and we are like, the girl you let up has our tickets, so we are hoping she will let us go in and get them but NO she says ok, wait here, I will go get them and she comes back down and waves for us to come over to her and we go inside the front door and she says YOU GUYS OWE ME!! And we are like OMG we love you so much!! So we go up the stairs and the meet and greet is almost over and we are last in line. So we get up there and I have my tour book that I got Ash to sign for the rest of them to sign. Well we are waiting on the people to get through and Ash leans back and sees us and is like mouthing "IM SO SORRY!!!!!" and stuff like that. The order was different for this meet and greet. So we finally get up to Trevor and he has half of his head done in cornrows and half fro! The pics of that were hilarious. But anyways, I was in charge of the pics AGAIN! But I get up to Trevor and I hand him the tour book and tell him that this is our 4th show (at the time that was a lot lol) and he signs it (and I finally look at it after the show and I see that he wrote this: 4 shows! I love you, God Bless!) And I ask him to smile for me and he does and I take the pic and then I get to Dan and shake his hand again and chat with him a lil and then I ask him to smile and I realize that I had the zoom on!!! And I am like opps I have the zoom on and he says "You don’t need to zoom in on me sweetie" (SO CUTE) and Trevor laughs. I am the last in line so Trevor is just sitting there listening to us. So I take the pic and next is Jake. YAY! Miranda is in front of me and she is talking to Ashley about how hard it was for us to get in and she said something about our friend crying and them letting us in and Jake says "However you do it, you do it" It was so cute. But anyways, after that Jake looks at me and smiles really big, like he remembers me but I am not sure. So I take his hand and I am like about to lean over and hug him but I remember that Cleve was yelling you would get kicked out if hugged. But I ask him if he got the letter with the dog on it from last night on the bus and he says he thinks so but he has like a lot of stuff to go through. So I am like ok and Miranda says something about seeing him kiss Janie on the bus and he just smiles really big...totally adorable!! So anyways, I ask him to smile for me and he does and this pic is even more adorable than the first one. Then I get up to Ashley and he takes my hand and says I'm so sorry!! and I am like dude it is ok, we are up here aren't we? And he is like yeh but I feel bad. And he says the lady that is usually in charge of it isn't there and blah blah blah. So finally I ask him to smile and he does and I take the pic. Then is Erik and I am just like hi and he smiles and I shake his hand and then start to walk off. Then I turn around and I am like SHIT I always forget your picture. And he gives me this cute lil sad kind of look and I take the pic and say thank you and then go on down to the concert. So now, at this point, this was my fave experience with them lol...(it only gets better though)
