(9/11/02, 6 p.m. ET) O-Town was one of the numerous acts scheduled to perform in New York City on the evening of September 11, 2001. The show at the Hammerstein Ballroom was postponed due to the terrorist attacks, and the members of O-Town watched the events that unfolded that day at the World Trade Center from their hotel just across the Hudson River in New Jersey. Singer Dan Miller told LAUNCH that 9/11 was a day that the group will never forget. "It made us look at what we do and totally revaluate. I mean, we were very close and it was a very scary thing because we were so close and nobody knew what was going to happen," he said.
Jacob Underwood told LAUNCH that he still clearly recalls the images he saw from his hotel room window and on the local news channels that day. "Just the images of the people and just how desperate they were. I couldn't help but just think of all my family, and thinking that just waking up and having a family and people to call is just enough to be happy for. I'm watching these people and how desperate they were and how sad an incident that was, and I can't believe people had to live through that pain," he said.
